It was the worst veal pizzaola Iâve ever had. They took slices of veal and threw sauce over itâ no mushrooms, no peppers! Service was very slow . Every request took several asks to receive. Very disappointed.
Today's visit was very disappointing compared to two weeks ago when the food and the service was excellent. On this day there appeared to be one server for the entire restaurant it took 45 minutes to get her appetizers and two out of the three dishes we ordered we're just plain not good in presentation or text won't be going back anytime soon
Menu was vast and outside dining was great... Service was fine.
The food is good but nothing spectacular. Basic Italian American. The restaurant is a bit dated. Most disturbing were these little insects flying around. Not sure what type of fly it was but when I am dining indoors, I donât want a little fly buzzing around my head. Kind of disappointing.
The carpeting down to the restrooms is dirty and old looking. The restrooms themselves are in bad condition. Two skirt steaks that were ordered medium rare were well done instead. We found and returned $80 our waitress had lost. She should have thanked us with a free dessert or something. The main restaurant area is lovely. The appetizers and main dishes of salmon and chicken were delicious as were the drinks. We were never offered dessert menus and had to ask for take-home containers and bags. These are things that should be offered without asking.
The service was just okay. The dinners were good . I think the staff need more training. They need to come back to check on their patrons.
We have been going to The Seventh Street Cafe for over 10 years and never a disappointment.

Seventh Street Cafe is a lovely restaurant with a varied menu of enticing entrees. We enjoyed our meal, but throughout the meal felt rushed to place and order, to finish the meal and to pay our check. Our reservation was for 7:00 and we were by 9:00, but we got the sense the restaurant closed was more on an early dinner location; we should have been told that when we made the reservation. It would be a good place to lunch or an early dinner!
Used to love this place. It was hard finding a place that was open on Mondays, this was and everyone agreed. I think it's gone downhill. Could use some freshening of menu and beer list. Who doesn't have an IPA these days? Food was just OK, my friend ordered a side of spinach which didn't come so she canceled it. A pleasant enough evening and prices were good.
