Horrible, one of the worst indo-Chinese restaurants I’ve been too. I’ll start with the negatives, upon entering the staff doesn’t greet and/or treat you as a customer, they just stare at you like you have no right being there. We were a party of 6 and they sat us on the top balcony area, which wasn’t that nice (assuming we were going to be sat in the “full main dining room”. The staff was very lackadaisical, and confused. The silverware were dirty with water and literal dirty marks. They took our orders and the wait times weren’t too bad for food and drinks, but the quality was atrocious. The vegetable spring rolls were good, and the chili sauce was the only saving grace of the night. We ordered vegetable corn soup, as well as a chicken one which smelt “fresh” and was liquid “burst milk” consistently, was absolutely inedible. They then brought the main courses vegetable Manchurian (which wasn’t bad, but bland), the white rice was mushy & over cooked. The other courses were mediocre, not what you expect for a place that brands themselves like this. The cost for menu items and the night were expensive , plus they added a $30 “admin fee” and asked for tip on top of that. They had an event as well and it was noisy and overallan unenjoyabe experience. While the look of the place is nice, everything else lacks. Ill be here again for a friends event in a few months so I’ll update my review then but other than that I don’t see myself ever returning here.
Food was good, not great. This used to be the original site for Akhbar (now located at the Southeast side if Roosevelt Field). Things did not seem very clean, chairs and tables were run down, and service was not timely at all throughout the meal - staff definitely NOT on their toes. The interior changes, though kinda nice, made the room (upstairs seating at least) extremely noisy. The positive side is the roof-top bar - which wasn't open at the time, but, I'd give it another try just to check that out and see lunch buffet is served in that area. The web site sure lures you in. Go, but keep expectations tempered.
I ordered the lamb biriyani from here this afternoon and it was amazing! The moment I saw it, I knew it would be amazing! They did put a lot of effort into an order where I just got biriyani! The biriyani was garnished with cilantro and they also made sure to include onions, lemons, green chillies and raita on the side. Simple things, but made me happy. Thank you!
Food was okay. Ambiance was good. Service….thumbs down. We all( party of 12) got served our entrees at different times. First 3 got served, finished or almost finished eating before 4 more got served. Repeat. Except for one person who didn’t get served and none of the wait staff noticed. No one asked if we wanted drinks refilled we did get water refilled without asking. The waiters were sweating so I guess you can’t blame them it was obviously the kitchen but I have no interest in going back to find out. They obviously need more help since there were tons of empty tables, service should of been better.
My advice to one and all who go thru my comments , please do give a visit to Mint LI. There chicken and lamb preparations has been delicious , fingers and lips will stay connected , hope you can understand my experience ?
Lost the charm that was years ago. The food is mediocre, the same old same old. Nothing gaga about it. Apart from deteriorating interiors, the place is terribly maintained. The bathroom was horrible, stinking and broken. The urinal had years of stains. Just goes to show the management cares absolutely nothing about customer experience! Really disappointed.
I came to this restaurant with my family for dinner and we had a terrible experience. They had two events going on as well as regular dining but not enough staff to sufficiently service all that was going on. We waited a fair amount of time for a table on a Saturday night. The waiter took a very long time to bring our drinks. Seeing as though the restaurant was busy we ordered appetizers and entrees at the same time and they missed one appetizer as it was never put in and we missed two sides for our meals. There was no apology for the terrible service. The food was great but the service has made this restaurant a big NO. Will not be coming back here again.
The food was amazing, the service was absolutely terrible. I got there around 7:30 and did not receive my food until 9:00. Andddddd they charged $30 for gratitude on top of that. I was sitting there at the table without a drink choking on my food for about 15 minutes before I receive my drink, they didn’t put in one of my appetizers and they forgot two of our sides.
The food wasn't good it was too saltyl0p The place smelled like an old damp house. The service was ok. You have to waive at staff literally to get your attention. The utensils were not cleaned. The water that was served was like..... we had to come to our car drink bottled water after the food. The look-wise interior is good.
