This place feels like a hidden gem in the area. Amazing food with top service. Also, the highlighted cocktails are worth a try. Drink combinations I've never thought of and amazing. Had the Dry Aged Ribeye which was perfectly prepared and delivered to the table. The clothesline bacon is always a highlight as well, especially after the server "finishes" the preparation at the table. All the food presentations are fantastic and well thought out. A little pricey but not so much beyond other top end restaurants in the area.
We were seated promptly upon arrive. bus person provided water That was it for 15 minutes Ultimately we had to back to the hostess and asked where was a waiter. She apologized and said she would send the waiter right over. The waiter was very pleasant and was very knowledgeable. I felt the clams casino were a bit fishy for my taste and had no bacon flavor as required in a classic dish.My wife onion soup was fine as was my steak. The key lime tart left a lot to be desired. The drinks we had at the suggestion of the waiter were fine. The manager stopping by each table and we informed him about the delay and the clams issue did nothing more that saying this should not have happened even after telling him were there celebrating our 51th anniversary A BIT DISAPPOINTED OVERALL
Tiffany was the lovely, gracious, attentive lady who made my visit to King Bar special in every way. The meal was exquisite: Virgin Mary cocktail followed by a generous size, tender and juicy filet mignon, crispy Hipster fries, and completed with a sumptuous chocolate flourless cake with salted caramel gelato and warm chocolate sauce, and cappuccino. The restaurant is private and intimate. The outdoor grounds of the Garden City Hotel are truly beautiful!
King Bar was a great treat to end a hectic week. Just to pop in from the neighborhood made it very easy. Food was great; service was extremely friendly and attentive.
Food was very good service was great .this was our second time there will be back
The restaurant was quiet and relaxing. Food was very good - brunch fare. Service was a little spotty, but most likely because there was a very large party at an adjoining table. But, certainly everyone was very pleasant and we didn't mind waiting a bit while we chatted.
Brian our waiter was fantastic. Food was superb. Try the Spring Blossom drink
The food is solid and always dependable but they were woefully understaffed. I understand it was a Monday night but there was one waiter for the entire dining room. He tried his best and was very friendly but the wait time was too long.
Been here several times this week. Service is extremely slow, dishes are inconsistent, outrageous prices. We were charged for coffee refills !
Absolutely wonderful! David Burke restaurants never disappoint. The clothesline bacon is outstanding!
