We used to come here all the time and the food is always fresh. Very disappointed this time around to find out everything was covered in cilantro! Both kinds of rice, chicken, sweet potatoes, all of it! I am one of those *lucky* people who taste cilantro as soap so for me, this is a no go. They also don’t keep any plain rice like they do at chipotle. Now I can’t eat the rice and pretty much had to pick apart the food so I didn’t get a chunk. Everything else is great just a little disappointed they decided on this.
Edited - they did call us back and the customer service was great. They refunded what was missing and we received a coupon for future use. I will absolutely try the chain again when it's a less busy day. Star added for customer service!Disappointed.We ordered lunch at my office - 6 people. Placed the order online and it said you can log in and create an account to pick up your order immediately or you can wait 20 minutes. We waited - it was early enough. Once lady goes to pick it up and it wasn't ready because according to them it was never received. Ok. It wasn't paid for so she went to give them the print out she took in case. They asked her to read it to them. Ok she does. Finally comes back to 5 other starving people and not ONE order was correct.My order was build your own tacos - soft tacos, fajita veggies, 1 scoop Steak, Tomatilo Salsa - medium, Tomato, romaine, Tortilla Strips, sour Cream, chipotle Mayo, Bag of Chips, Queso (on the side). There was no sour cream, no chipotle mayo, no salsa, and no queso on the side. I actually had to walk to 7-Eleven just to get salsa so I could eat my lunch because I was starving.One order ended up completely in the garbage because all that was on it was rice and veggies (missing the steak and a few other things). We will try and call the store but no one has time to go back so most of us ate it anyway. The steak that was on my taco had a nice flavor (that's why 2 stars instead of just 1 honestly) but had I not purchased the salsa the taco would have been too dry to eat. A little strange that the "tortilla strips" were actually chunks of broken tortilla chips but I could have lived with that.I'm very disappointed as I heard great things about this place. It is Cinco de Mayo and we were willing to accept that since it was crazy there some things might be wrong but not the entire order. That's just unacceptable.
They are delicious! They always pay attention to detail! And they follow order instructions. Highly recommended.
The quesadilla tasted good but it's size was super disappointing. The quesadilla was paper thin and there was almost no steak in it (my colleague said her chicken quesadilla had the same problem barely any chicken). For $15 I thought it was going to be hearty, that was not the case, the food tasted good but you're going to feel ripped off with the portions.
This was one of my favorite places in town but recently the portions have been super small and not really worth it; a burrito went from two meal’s worth of food to not even enough for a lunch. Food quality went down a good bit as well.
Amani was absolutely amazing and super sweet. Unfortunately there was a mix up with our order. Amani immediately fixed the issue and handled the situation with ease. Will 100% be back!
It took me 25 minutes to finish this food because they don’t have a spoon. What kind of restaurant doesn’t give spoons.
First and last time! Came here with my husband for lunch. He had a steak rice bowl and I had the chicken rice bowl. First bite in we looked at each other and my God it was so salty!!! Rice was undercooked and hard and the chicken was bland and very chewy such a weird texture ugh. The pico de gallo was overly salty and old I can tell by the soggy pale tomatos. I was only able to eat a small portion of the meal and threw out more then half. Not to mention the horrible stomach ache since I got home. I’ve read other reviewers complaining of stomachaches too. Beware!There’s gqoba, chipotle. Moes. Try thoseAnd if your in for authentic Mexican try the homemade taqueria in Hempstead or mr taco. Also jalapeño grill. Guac shop is not it! Will never eat from there again! staff needs to stop hanging out behind the counter and tend some customers.
Food is OK but service is terrible. We ordered online for pickup. When I went to pick up, people who were preparing the food looked unhappy and unfriendly. When I asked the Mexican guy who prepared my food if everything was inside the bag, he said Yes. When I got home, the chips were missing. I called store for refund, no one answered the call. I left message, still, no one returned my call. I wasn't refunded for the missing chips. Make sure you check your order before you leave the store because you won't get refund back for Amy missing items. Such a terrible place to order food from.. I don't recommend this place at all!!!
The food was good until my mom found a hair in her quesadilla. Yuck!
