Ordered turkey wings mac and cheese and potato salad. Southern cooking at its best. Potato salad a little bland but I will definitely return.
My first time eating there on a Wednesday night, and was very delighted. The Fish and shrimp was cooked to perfection. The Mac and cheese was to die for as well as the collard greens. You will not be disappointed If you try them out.
I love ordering from them. Food is always beyond expectations but the girl at the register needs a few tips on customer service. Especially if she is the first face you encounter when walking into that establishment. So my rating is solely based on the food. Poor customer service honestly doesn’t make customers want to come back. Very rude , I wasn’t even acknowledged. Also thanked her and got no response.
Oneday I had a craving for some fried fish and I tell you, it was no mistake coming to BGF Bobby Q's. First visit was fabulous!!! The food was Fresh, Flavorful and Filling! Hubby and I are foodies and we WILL be back! Thanks for a fine first time visit on a WEDNESDAY NIGHT!!! ???

I ordered from Bobby Q's today because I saw a pretty big menu on Doordash, and cool descriptions. I was glad to see a restaurant like this in the Freeport/Roosevelt area. I ordered the Maple Chicken & Bacon Waffle Bowl for $13.99 for me, and the Turkey Wings for someone else. The turkey wings portion was good. My maple chicken & waffle bowl was really good! But I was expecting a bigger portion ? smh I was so hungry too lol. Wasn't left satiated unfortunately. There is only one waffle in the dish, with some small pieces of chicken on top and a little bacon. No syrup. This is why I stay at 130 lbs everyone is too stingy ? Please increase your portions so I can come try your real chicken and waffles!
I ordered turkey wings with collard greens and potato salad and bbq chicken with mac and cheese and yams the food came cold the chicken was dry the collard greens taste as if they where not cleaned and cooked enough (kinda hard) i did not get my potato salad the yams were hard too smh im so disappointed and on top of that the woman was so unprofessional on the phone not ordering from them again
Ughhhh. I REALLY REALLY wanted to like this place. I REALLY REALLY wanted to support a local black business.We ordered pork ribs, mac and cheese and collared greens. The ribs were cold. Not cool, cold, like they just came out of the refrigerator. Once microwaved, they were good. The mac and cheese had no flavor and was lukewarm. Upside, the collard greens were good. We also ordered the fish/shrimp/clam strip combo with garlic mash and green beans. I originally wanted potato salad and yams but at 7pm on a Saturday they were out. The green beans were definitely from a can, the mash potatoes had to have been made with powdered garlic, they were awfulllllll! The fried seafood combo was all cooked in the same batter and super salty and fishy. Despite that, I did like the clam strips.The portion size was good. They don't skimp on food and if it was even average food, it would've been worth the $40. We dumped it.
I paid $45 on Uber eats for three dry Salmon patties on bread with no sauce and no fries. I'm never ordering from the place again
Horrible customer service. I came in at 9pm. They greeted me with an attitude. “You came to pick up right?” i told them I came to order. The owner or whoever he is asks am I going to pay him double (I thought he must be joking - he was serious) then proceeds to give me a lecture on how we all wanna come at the last minute and he hasnt gotten an order in an hr so why do we expect him to stay open? Especially when he has a long drive home and we aren’t keeping these lights on in here. I said .. I thought you close at 9:30. He says no. I say okay so you‘re closed then and I walk out and flip the “Hello we’re open sign” to “ Sorry we’re closed” and that’s how my first & last visit to this establishment went.
