So we went in at 9:02pm last night absolutely starving and the kitchen was closed… the owners nephew I think says “ No worries “ I will cook for you!! What a class act Man and what an amazing restaurant!!!
Food was delicious and the service was great
We were given a gift certificate to Filomena’s and had heard wonderful things about this restaurant. It didn’t disappoint . We loved everything, from the bread put on the table , the calamari, the chicken and veal parmigiana and the Italian cheesecake. Every last bite was delicious! The servings were large and the Penne a la vodka that came with the entrees was the best I ever had. Service was also good, we will return.
Great food friendly service
This is the essence of upscale Italian dining. Beautiful and elegant, it sits on a corner property in Franklin Square. Tasteful decor through and through, professionally staffed and spacious, with an enviable bar and catering room for events. The waiters are handsome and intelligent, and know the menu; some are involved in its preparation(...ask for Nick, you'll be grateful!). Thoughtful specials; we had the grilled octopus appy...never had better! The owner, Mario, watches dinner service, and chats with customers, even taking a seat to listen when appropriate. From first course, to last aperitif, every thought is for your satisfaction. We visit whenever we're in town, worth the trip!
Works really well for for a party like a christening or confirmation. Room for kids to be entertained and lots of better than decent red sauce italian food for adults to have sit down meal.
Great atmosphere, service was excellent. Food was tasty & plentiful. Very reasonably priced. Will definitely go again.
Unbelievable service with amazing food. The servers treat you like family every time you visit. The specials are always full of flavor and to die for. I feel like my friends Nonny is cooking in the back, every time.
For a place with very high reviews about the quality of food my Seafood Risotto and Fettuccini Alfredo had none. The risotto still tasted fishy had no seasoning and was extremely drowned in oil. I’ve watched Gordon Ramsay cook enough Risottos to know this was made terribly. The fettuccini Alfredo had zero taste completely bland. I also had the baked clams which came burnt. I don’t normally leave reviews but the food really wasn’t good at all. Wasted $45 to throw away the food.
Never knew this place existed before last night. My boyfriend and I were having trouble finding a restaurant and walked in without a reservation. The front desk was able to find us a table for two near the front and we were very happy. Service was great as was the food. We'll definitely go back.
