Today I went in on a little date with my boyfriend and it was the absolute best experience I ever had when it comes to hotpot. I got served by Ryan and Yen, the meats and broths were amazing. The original pancake was addicting, we ordered two. The music was super chill beats and lounge music, which is cute! Unlike other spots with loud ballads. It was affordable and i love the fact it is individual hotpots. So you save more, you get your own flavors of broths. I’ll be sure to come back with my family. ADDITIONALLY, it was super clean. I love it here and I’ll be sure to come back fr. Thank you Ryan and Yen for an amazing meal <3
Came here for my birthday, I forgot mention today is my birthday until we almost done eating. It was so nice of them giving me a cup and cheesecake as a present. The service overall was very nice. The food was fresh and good amount. We didn't order much since it was a group of 3. And we were all full just by the amount we order. I will definitely come again

Dolar shop definitely is one of my fav hot pot place in NY!Service is great! Ingredient is good quality! Then space is clean and comfortable!I really like you can enjoy 2 different soup base in one mini pot!Their beef slice is so good! Make sure you order their prime short ribs and wagyu beef slice!The live shrimp was so fresh too!They also offer happy hours from 12-5pm everyday, everything 30% off! What a great deal!
We were here for a birthday celebration and it was an amazing experience! When the manager found out that we’re here for birthday, she offered to set up and decorate the area, which was really sweet! This place is very nice, clean, and the staff goes above and beyond to make the visit comfortable and easy! The food was as amazing as the service. The meats are good quality and seafood are fresh.We were served by Gary, Jin, and Ciwei who were always attentive and provided outstanding services. We were surprised when they brought over a bowl with fish and scallops and birthday candle. Near the end, they came over with a cake which completely caught us off by surprise! It was extremely sweet of them and the birthday boy was so happy!Will definitely come back again! Definitely give 6/5 stars and recommend to everyone I know.
If there were a 6th star, I’d give it. We found this restaurant by accident, after seeing that a nearby hot pot place was fully booked. The staff was incredible in every way. Yen, Lucas, and Ci Wei treated us like royalty, and when they found out that we had a birthday to celebrate, they made sure that we had a wonderful time too!! We will be returning soon!
I wish I could give 6 stars! Absolutely the best meal I’ve had in years, and the best hot pot in my life! This was for my 20th birthday, and they really pulled out all the stops. Our servers were the nicest people on the planet, and provided a plate of seafood and a small cheesecake on the house, along with some perfect wagyu beef and the spiciest soup I’ve ever had.
I enjoyed my experience at The Dolar Shop. I was promptly seated and served. I ordered off an iPad and the waiter gave a few suggestions of the popular items and their favorite items. The items came pretty quickly and I was able to start eating right away.It was easy to talk to the person across from me even though the table was sizeable. The sauce selection was great! They made their signature sauce for me and it went great with the shrimp paste.The wagyu beef was delicious and I timed each piece to make sure it was always cooked to perfection.
I really like to order special items when visiting a hot pot place. And their ?banana pancake, deep fried rice ball and deep fried pork rib were all amazing!It’s also really clever to have a small pot per person instead of sharing a huge one since we are in the post-pandemic era. It’s safer and clear for health.The price was a little bit high but everyone in our group was super full, so I guess it was us.. we ordered too much?
Extremely well thought out restaurant - belongings drawers, ceramic pot holders, dishes that fit custom to their racks, etc.Broth definitely very good as well (I got the half spicy half silver - silver is definitely a standout imo), and all the ingredients are good quality. I do think the veggie ingredients are overpriced but I have no complaints about the quality.
