I am going to be honest, I judged the book by the cover. When I saw the restaurant from the outside, I didn't have much expectations. But, once the food arrived, I was pleasantly surprised, it's delicious! Though for those that love tripes (I don't) this didn't have it. Which is even better for me! Not so much for the wife, she loves it in hers. But overall we both enjoyed our meal, and would recommend it for pho lovers.
4% surcharge when you pay by Credit/Debit card. This was a new fee that just came up! They didn't have this before. Never informed to a customer beforehand, and you'll only realized when you hand your credit card at checkout, and find the fine printed notice on a cashier's table at site. This store is certainly not happy to pay their credit card processing fee that the business is supposed to pay directly to VISA/MASTER Credit card companies. Instead, customers are required to pay 4% SURCHARGE.The only way to avoid this fee is when you pay by FULL CA$H. I know a lot of restaurants have set minimum purchase of $20 for any credit card purchase to avoid credit card processing fee, and also prefer CASH. This store is always full of customers, and they're definitely eager to make more money by collecting 4% surcharge for all credit card purchase. That's one clever way to make more money.
The quality of the food is pretty good, but everything is too salty. Especially the pork chop is crazily salty. Don’t order the pork chop. I have to wash the pork chop down with the soup. If this is only this Vietnamese restaurant within 20 miles, this restaurant is fine then. However, there are too many Vietnamese restaurant in the area. Don’t come to this one for the flavor.
I had the beef banh mi and Thai iced tea. The baguette was doughy and I did not enjoy its consistency. The beef, however, was tasty and abundant, though I question its authenticity. The place seems to be operated by Koreans judging from its staff. I felt the taste skewed beef bulgogi. At almost $11, the sandwich was on the pricier side. The Thai iced tea was good. Staff were cordial though a bit robotic.
The veggie banh mi is phenomenal, comes with a fried egg and tofu, and the best creamy and tangy dressing! Their pho is also great, big portion with lots of salad. Pictured: Provencal fries. Summer rolls. BBQ pork with rice. BBQ chicken with rice noodles.
Food was delicious. The garlic fries were so fresh and crispy, must have come straight out of the fryer! We absolutely LOVED the dumplings. The pho was also super flavorful, I prefer the spicy, it was all amazing.
Walked in about 7pm for dine in. Just myself grabbing a quick warm meal. The place is small but cozy with an outdoor cabana. I was seated right away and ordered some Pho. The small was a generous portion! They gave me some tea as well :) Very tasty Pho! Good quality. On my way out there was a line to get in. That's how you know it's good!
I like the pork chops here with rice and salad. It’s $21. To be honest there are other restaurants who charge less for this dish but I like the flavor better at PHO CHE. Although Pho is a bit different here too (with cilantro instead of basil) but most importantly it’s because they give way less meat than the other Pho spots. I say that because I always get XL and plus extra meat on top of that, but here the amount of meat is like I ordered super small portion and didn’t pay extra for steak. So it’s really upsetting…
Our favorite pho spot. We ordered pho and garlic fries, which we highly recommend. The fries are large and was more than enough for 3 adults. They serve the fries in a to go container because it's that big! We took our leftover to go, of course. The noodles are great and the broth, delicious. Definitely worth a visit, or 2 or 3 :)
Came here with a friend for dinner. We ended up ordering their BBQ Beef BahnMi with fried(extra cost) to share along with House Special Pho. The broth was very good and refreshing with a very good flavor. While you are here I would also recommend their iced coffee as well. The food came out fairly quickly but it is a bit hard to get the staffs attention to ask for the bill or water refills.
