A great local summer spot. Classic German beers, great boiled sausages (get the veal sausage!) and attentive service. Their outdoor patio is the best in the hood.
I’m so mad that I didn’t get to take pics - but deff next time , so the peirogies were amazing flavor and had awesome crips to them , wings were huge , delicious, the potato bacon parsley crocquettes were bomb the kilbasas were all great with flavor the schnitzel was great but needed Chicken to be a little more seasoned . The chips were good too , the desserts were delicious we had the raspberry creme brûlée - amazing out of the world and the cheesecake was great just how I like it . The German chocolate cake with cherry sauce was good .
My wife Sandy & I have been regulars of this hidden gem for years. The owner Angie and her wonderful staff has always been accommodating and every so friendly. We highly recommend the Mango Salmon, it just melts in your mouth. Check it out !
Great atmosphere and food
I had the Jäger Schnitzel and friend had the Weiner Schnitzel. Both dishes were tasty, though the presentations were lacking. The green beans were on the soggy side and the potatoes looked like a side of breakfast home fries. Along with half a liter of beer, my portion of the bill came out to be $50 including tips which I’d say is pricey for what I received. Service is nice and cordial.
The food is excellent. The sun room was really nice even though the weather was bad
Loved it!!!Found this place by accident, looking for restaurants in Whitestone area. What a happy accident!!! Great location, parking was easy to find, and beautiful interior. We had the the pretzel and croquettes appetizer, both were delicious!! Pork schnitzel was perfect, and wurst sampler was absolutely delicious!! Dessert was vanilla creme brulee and apple strudel, both delicious. Definitely going back to try more items on the menu.Staff was attentive and food presentation was exceptional.
Excellent service. Delicious food.
Comfortable setting, good service. Thanks, Mike! Just the right amount of attentiveness. We had Sauerbraten and Weiner Schnitzel. Both were tasty. We are German and the Sauerbraten was tender and the pickled flavor spot on. The spatzel was good but would like dumplings as an alternative. The appetizer was the jagerhaus croquettes--very yummy. Portions are more than enough to satisfy the biggest eaters. dessert: the Chocholate raspberry cheesecake was deeelicious! Street parking only but it is ample and good neighborhood. We recommend this place highly to all.
