Max & Mina’s has been on my bucket list for years since their business hours vary and they don’t match with our daily schedule. We read an article about the world’s top 50 ice cream and they were #21. We were motivated by the great ranking and made up our mind to visit in the shortest time. They open at 8:30pm (Yes it’s pm and you didn’t read it wrong.) on Saturday so we had an early dinner and visited right after dinner. We arrived at around 8:30pm and there was a line already. The decor is colorful and artsy with cereal box cutouts on the wall. The owners are super welcoming and friendly. There is a great variety of flavors on their menu and we had a difficult time to decide. One of the greatest things is customers can have combined flavors in one scoop. We had their signature Spongebob and Peanut Butter cookie Mess. It was delicious, amazingly creamy and rich. It is definitely underrated and everyone needs to come try it.
Ice Cream! Homemade, from "normal" to wild and wacky-- and delicious! Rich and flavorful. The best pistachio (my favorite flavor) I've ever had. Store is colorful, decorated with cereal boxes, old ads, Mad magazine covers on the ceiling, It's just plain fun. Not cheap but worth the experience and the ice cream is terrific. Friendly counter help. Closed for sabbath on Friday evening-Saturday.
Max and Mina’s has been an ice cream institution on Main Street for the past 20 years. It’s a colorful store, decorated with cereal boxes and comic book covers on the walls. But it is the ridiculous array of ice cream flavors that people come far and wide to taste. In the early days, Max and Mina’s served bagels and lox, breakfast batter and peanut butter and jelly. Today, you can order flavors such as Captain Crunch, Strawberry Sponge Bob Horse Radish and Cookie Monster. They also serve traditional flavors like Butterscotch, cookie dough and heath bar crunch. You can sample any flavor on a spoon. Servings come in cones or cups. You can order up to three flavors in any cup. It’s a fun place to visit anytime of year. Just be prepared to pay a top-shelf price for this high-end frozen dessert.
This is a must go to for any ice cream lovers The guys are the best always handing you mini spoons of all different flavors to try . The combinations they come up with are crazy good Hands down favorite (Oreo -captain crunch )
