WHISKEY DOWN DINER FARMINGDALE, NYI just came back a short time ago from having lunch at the Whiskey Down Diner located at 257 Main street in Farmingdale, NY It was recommended by a group I belong to on Facebook. The diner is not big so we had to wait for a table about 10-15 minutes, we got there about 1:45 pm and this place was jumping!My wife didn't know where I was taking her, she loves lobster and I wanted to surprise her. She ordered the Lobster roll. I had their meat loaf wrapped in bacon with mashed potatoes and glazed carrots plate, we topped it off by splitting a Vanilla ice cream waffle Sundae, with peanut butter sauce and crumbles. The dessert alone was a reason to go there!Everything was so fresh and delicious! Their staff was so very friendly too. WDD prices were very reasonable considering how good their food is. We for sure, will return there! Want to try a different place to eat? Give this place a try!

We sat outside and had a really delicious brunch. I felt like our waitress forgot about us a few times, another waiter came over and asked if anyone had come over to us yet. The food was really good though and it was such a cute little back patio.
Let’s start with presentation, cus c’mon look at that plate !!!!! ???? I ordered the steak and eggs with cheese and that was really good.The cocktails were okay, I could do without it.The atmosphere is suitable for all ages and I like that they have a bunch a Booths with the clear dividers.I’d recommend this only if you’re dining in.My experience with carry out was not as pleasant.Another stand out was this waffle with Nutella and strawberries, that was good As well and looks pretty.Food 9/10Drinks 5/10Service 7/10Delivery 4/10

First time here after seeing all their deliciousness on Instagram and they did not disappoint. Our server was nice and knowledgeable. We got the disco fries and the skirt steak tacos from the small plates on the menu. Nothing small about the tacos. They were scrumptious. We also got breakfast for dinner and it was yummy. The food came out lightning fast. The owner even stopped by our table to ask how everything was. It was refreshing to get such great service. I will definitely stop by again when I’m in the area and if you’re in the area stop in and treat yourself.
Really nice local diner/restaurant. The food was very good and the space was very clean. which arrived really fast. However, the service was a little lackluster. Once our food arrived (it arrived super fast!) we didn’t see our waiter again until we asked for our check. Still, we would return.
Took a friend to lunch here today for the first time. Food was excellent and the service was even better. Our waitress, Samantha R. was so engaging, attentive just the sweetest young lady. I would come back just to have her as my waitress. I had the tuna melt platter and my friend had the Belgian waffle with crispy bacon. Both were delicious. If I one negative to say, it would be that it was a little too loud but we were there right smack in the middle of lunch time. We will definitely be back.
