We live in Florida and wanted to have a 25th birthday dinner celebration for our son in Long Island. We wanted a restaurant that had outdoor seating. I went online and after investigating many restaurants I came across Verona Ristorante. Its website was very straight forward and easy to see what they offered and how much it would cost. Reviews indicated that this was a very good restaurant. I started running numbers and then called and spoke with the owner, Gary. Gary was easy to talk to, and in no time, we had a tentative understanding, confirmed in email, and our party was set. On the evening of the dinner we met Vincent, who oversaw the success of the evening. Vincent was professional, friendly, it was a pleasure to meet him, and the evening turned out terrific. The food was delicious, the drink package was extremely reasonable, and the outdoor room worked like a charm. Many in our family had heard about Verona but had not had the opportunity to go there before this dinner. To a person they all said they would be going back for dinners. Thank you, Gary and Vincent, for making our son's 25th birthday a wonderful event.
Nice accommodating staff. Several areas for outdoor dining or private parties. On premise parking, 2 bathrooms & 1 family room. We had a party for over 35 people, the tables were spaced out nicely not too crowded. The appetizers, salad, Main course, desserts & drinks were all good. Outside did get a little hot but once we asked for a fan it was more pleasant.
I came here for mother's day and it was alright. The place itself looked very nice aside from the five doors you have to go through to get in and the unfinished ceiling. I personally don't eat much in one sitting so I would have appreciated the small portions if they weren't full priced. Each person I was with got one appetizer, one entrée, and one dessert each and it was over $80pp. I ordered a salad that was pretty good, and a small Gelato dessert that was pretty good. However, the lobster bisque that I ordered tasted like they poured the whole salt shaker in it. I personally enjoy things that are salty but I couldn't even finish the soup. I think everyone else was pretty satisfied with their meals, but they really didn't have much gluten free options, other than subbing pasta or rice with GF pasta for an extra six dollars which is a lot compared to other places where it's usually 2 or 3. I understand not every place will be accommodating, but if you have the option at least make it accessible.
Be forewarned - please do not go here. We just attended a family party here and we all couldn’t believe what was going on. Every inch and space of this restaurant was packed with a party and the problem with that is that there isnt enough parking spaces or bathrooms for that amount of people. Just a host of issues.- my cousins party was supposed to start at 4, but they let the party prior run over and was not able to set up for my cousin until 5pm. He had a party of 75 people showing up with no where to go because every space was filled.- they didn’t have high chairs for my 1 year old because “all were taken”. My husband walked the entire restaurant to see if someone would be so kind to let us borrow one and there was not one high chair in the restaurant. I’ve never experienced this at a restaurant.- the space where our party was, was technically deemed unsuitable for anyone to sit. We only know this because there was a half peeled town sticker off the wall. I will be calling the town on this place.- the party next to us was allowed a loud dj and party like it was a sweet sixteen. This was only divided by a thin tent wall so we had to listen to the party the whole time.- the bathrooms which I already noted were already too small to host a restaurant of 4 parties was located behind 2 separate parties, so to go to the bathroom you had to walk through someone’s private party. I felt so bad and of course I had no where to change my toddler, but I’m not surprised by that.- there was one poor waiter for our entire party.- even the food was disappointing. A very small portion, which is surprising for an Italian restaurant.Just an overall horrible experience and this place should honestly be shut down. I felt so bad for cousin and the service he and his party received.
Great place to eat they took our party of about 20 people very last minute and the food was great! The service was almost too good they took the plates off the tables before we were finished other wise I would give 5 stars would definitely recommend if you need some where to bring a group of people for an event and some good food!
Another great dining experience with professional service, fresh food prepared with detailed and flavor, in a very comfortable atmosphere.
Excelente restaurante, la comida exquisita y muy buen servicio. Lo recomiendo 100%
First time at this place. Wasn't that bad. They almost forgot my drink that I ordered.
Had drinks at the bar until the rest of out party arrived. Seated at table of our choice. Waiters bought another round of drinks.Took app choices then dinner. Food great, service great. Great snow storm dinner!!
Service was excellent, food was very good. A little disappointed with yhe chicken cutlet parm. It was a bit on the thin side like veal parm is served. We went there after a funeral service. Highly recommend
