This place is horrible. They are the slowest most horrible service. They make you order an pay upfront to lock you into staying, and once they get your order, prepare to wait a minimum of 45 mins for 2 simple turkey sandwiches. This isn't a one time thing it happens ever single time. They have a staff of about 25 people but the people who make the sandwiches are the worse. They were playing with knives as if they were sword fighting and joking around instead of working. They give me an order number of 8 when i walked into an empty store. I waited an watched them make 10 more orders before even starting mine. I was the only one in the store but slowing people started coming in an most got their bigger orders before mine. Normally I would have left because it was 45 mins but they had my money an was forced to wait. Even the lady at the register felt bad. (she did her job). I asked for the manger but of course they were conveniently gone. This happens every time. I live around the block so I keep giving them a chance, but today I was fed up. Finally got the food an of course it was on stale breadI WOULD HAVE GIVEN A ZERO STAR REVIEW BUT IT WON'T LET ME.
I asked for a serving of the special of the day "California Omlette", cashier responded in a very confused manner, asking several colleagues "do we have a special...".... I asked for a side order of CRISPY BACON, and received the usual *floppy* bacon...that many other places serve. She asked me if i would like TOAST, and i said " Yes, rye toast, please.... what did i get? UNTOASTED RYE BREADThe result: if you don't use the word Bagel, don't go there.
Staff is awesome! Bagels are super fresh and hot! I usually go on Sundays and it has it's fair share of business but we always seem to find a seat.
if i could give them a zero i would. They never have any bagels after 12 pm. if you ask them to make them they wont. They have about 7 workers yet none of them help their customers. they just sit around talking to each other while customers wait. They have 3 registers but only use one for some reason. If your in a rush this place is not for you. I order close to daily (only because its close by) and this happens every time I'm there. If they are busy make sure you leave a good 45 mins early because you will be waiting, even if you order before you get there. The owner just stands around an never offers to lend a hand either. They don't care, you are on their time. I never submit reviews, but there service is so bad every time I am there I just had to warn people. Yes the food is good but only because its boars head, and that has nothing to do with them, you can get a sandwich as good anywhere.
Found this store by being in the neighborhood, order a bacon, egg and cheese on an everything bagel, it was delicious. Ordered a dozen bagels to bring home to my family they are that good! A great menu to choose from, the staff friendly, courteous, and prompt, the store and showcase well lit and spotless. If in the area, please give them a try, you wouldn't be disappointed, and I am sure you will be a regular customer like me.
The food is very similar to a Dinner but the prices are so much better. They have a variety menu from bakery to sandwiches and delicious meals.
Stopped by there after 5 am to pick up bagels for the guys at work. Fresh & warm, great staff, were enjoyed.
