Sandwich was amazing and so are the knishes. Counter girls were so helpful and extremely pleasant. Definitely will be going back again. I went back again and this time tried the hot dog and onion rings so good.
Had the Angry Irving and it did taste good, although I felt that it could've had a little more meat for the money ($11 with tax and credit fee). Sandwich is a tad bit on the small side for the price but that's just me comparing it to the deli sandwiches I get for the same money at my local delis in Queens. The girl at the counter was friendly and I got my sandwich in 5-10 minutes so no complaints there. I've seen some of the owners' responses to the negative reviews for this establishment and I have to say that it looks very unprofessional. I myself had a pleasant experience with the staff but if I knew that the owner was so eager to belittle their customers online prior hand, I may have reconsidered coming here in the first place. If the owner ever happens to read this, just know that you should learn to take criticism.
Irving's is definitely not your typical Jewish style pastrami sandwich, so don't expect that when you go here. But that's why it's so good! The prices are very fair for the quality you get here. You know the food is good when they wait to drop your fries fresh when you get there. Nice girls behind the counter and the owner even came out to talk to us while we were there. 5 Stars. Enough said!
Had their Philly cheesesteak club and holy slops! I couldn’t eat half of it. They added WAY too much cheese and not enough steak to compensate. :( I went hungry this day.
Not that bad but nothing special.Drove out there from Queens based on many positive comments on their Instagram page however the Sandwich I got didn’t live up to expectations.I ordered the Angry Irving as suggested by many since it’s their flagship Sandwich however was disappointed with minimal meat, salty and overloaded with sauce. I will say the girl behind the counter was very professional and the establishment is very clean.
I saw a lot of negative reviews about this place, but being a local, I felt obligated to try it.I must say, I’m glad I didn’t take those bad reviews to heart! I’m not sure what those people were eating when they wrote their reviews, but I’m a pastrami connoisseur, and Irving’s truly knocked it out of the park with mine and my wife’s sandwiches.I got the Angry Irving, she got The Melt and street corn. The Irving had the right meat to bread ratio, no excessive fatty pieces, and all of the toppings made for a fantastic taste bud experience. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her Melt, which also looked and tasted as advertised. The street corn was also delicious, lots of flavors and a huge portion!To boot, the girl who answered the phone when I placed my order was courteous and professional, and everything was ready at the the time we were told to pick up.I usually don’t leave reviews, but I don’t want Irving’s to get a bad rap because I truly had a good experience!
Could count the number of pastrami pieces on my sandwich..sandwich tasted mostly of bread and toppings..would not recommend.
First thing is first the music when you pull up is great and sets the mood. You are immediately greeted at the counter. We ordered a few things to try and they did not disappoint. The greatest thing you will ever see when doing take out is they do not start your fries until you arrive so they are fresh and not soggy. If you haven't tried this place yet you are missing out. Would recommend
I've been back here a few times, and while there are a few complaints I have, I'd overall say its pretty great for a pastrami sandwich shop. Great options and customization, and a pretty interesting menu. There have been a few times where I get some hard/grizzle pieces that were less than what I expected, I wouldn't say that completely ruined my order and was still fine overall. Give it a try if you haven't.
Went here for the first time with my husband. I got the Angry Irving with the hand cut French fries and he got the Honey Chipotle Steak and a knish. Everything was out of this world. Staff was very friendly and accommodating as well. The owner was there and spoke to us while we waited for our food and he was awesome too! Overall great experience if I could give it more than 5 stars I would! GO TO Irving's!!!
