i went out with a few friends for dinner. we were enticed to try the entree trios. we got sliders, steak quesadilla towers, queso dip, spinach dip, chicken won ton tacos boneless wings, they were all delicious, piping hot and fresh! Service was outstanding. The manager Kevin came by the table and was warm and friendly. Quite a gentlemen. 3 out of 4 of us enjoyed the Blue Point winter ale from the tap at the bar. Fresh!
Went here yesterday, a Thursday for a quick bite before a hockey game. My son & I walked in, we were finally seated in a booth after watching the hostess fumble around looking for menus. Ten mins later the bartender Betsy made a full display in front of us after she was told she had a table. She made faces of disgust and screamed “I can’t take them!” before coming to our table and telling us she would be back in ten minutes. I told her we had already been there for ten minutes and asked if we could sit somewhere else. She said no, rolled her eyes, gave us another excuse and walked away. Now, I could understand if it was busy but the place had three tables and an empty bar. The manager was wondering around completely unaware of what was going on. In fact he had a clipboard and had time to go outside and check the landscaping but didn’t pay attention to guests. Two hostesses standing around talking and another employee pretending to sweep the floor. Another ten minutes passed with no service so we decided to leave. No excuse for this! Extremely disappointing experience!
The food was good, and the the service was good as well. They were polite, and apologized for the little bit of a long wait it took for our food to come. Nonetheless, I would go again
Just plain nasty!! I ordered my steak well done ? this is not even cooked it basically missing the heartbeat! I’m so upset then when I said I would go up there and pick up a new one the manager told me I had to go thru Uber? I cancelled the whole order horrible customer service? the transferred me 4 times before getting me to the manager i am annoyed
I've been to this establishment multiple times, every time I go, the experience is worse than the last time, and I regret the decision. The staff isn't attentive, and very cavalier/indifferent about their jobs. The last time I went there, I called the restaurant to ask when they accepted the last guest, my party and i came 20 mins before that deadline. The staff acted as if we were an inconvenience, and refused to seat us. After the manager got involved they sat us. But the servers refused to serve us, said the hostess once we questioned as to why it was taking so long for someone to take our order. The manager once again got involved and that's when someone took our order. The waitress gave us attitude, and my party and I heard the bartender slandering, and verbally disrespecting the table because we came in so late. We sat there stunned. But i refused to order, because i felt so unwelcomed, but the rest of the party ordered. The restaurant wasn't even closed, the staff would have to be there regardless. It gets worst. The food comes and its cold, and one of my friends had unknown things in her fries. All the drinks have hair, and lint pieces in them, and the portions are smaller than usual. It was a decisive attack against out party. They intentionally did this. So I called the manager over. He Brushed it off, and offered us new drinks, and said the workers were tired and we should pity them. It was a terrible experience and I will never never ever return to any Applebee's. And yes, I did contact corporate. Definitely go to a different Applebee's if you're considering that one.
Food really isn't that good any more. Server didn't ask if we had any food allergies, the menu wasnt very clear either and one of the dishes we ordered had an endless amount of mushrooms. They were kind enough to exchange and replace it with something else.It took a very long time to get our drinks, appetizers and entrees. It didn't seem that busy to me, but maybe I expect too much.
They have a lot of tables available in this restaurant, its not busy and its not a lot of rush so you can get a table quickly, and the food is amazing, clean bathroom, and polite staff. I came here before and I loved it here. they deserve my 5 stars
I don't want to say it was the hungry talking but those boneless wings were delicious ?. I am definitely going back to eat and drink my fill. My burger was cooked to perfection.
Great service. Fast and efficient. No wait time. Delicious choices. Salads are tasty and fills you up.
This was my first time at the Hempstead location. We came here after attending my friend's funeral who was also my godson's father. It was 6 of us, my godson's, his 2 other siblings, ans theirs and his mom. We had margaritas and shots repeatedly but food portions were small, but the drinks were good and we needed it. I'm giving 4 stars because we were there for almost 4 hours and no one even attempted to kick us out...lol...and the service was good.
