This place has really gone down hill since when it opened they have no service Strategy except for make them wait forever and then don't give them the right order ... This has been the case the last 4 times I've been there and it really is disappointing because there food is good and when they get my order right it is a pleasant dining experience ... overall this place definitely deserves a 3 star rating and that's being very generous
I used to stop here regularly to pick up dinner after a long day at work. I almost never saw the same employee twice; it seems as though they have a lot of turnover in this store. I have visited three times in the past month and here are my experiences: 1) the chicken tasted as though it had gone off (spoiled) and even though I only took two bites I still ended up with stomach problems. 2) They changed my beverage order to a large and charged me extra even though I said I wanted the small that came with the meal and they forgot part of the meal. 3) They did not ask questions and assumed I wanted mashed potatoes (I had to wave at them and ask for fries as they were trying to hand me the bag), they did not give me the drink I paid for, they got the order wrong, giving me chicken instead of shrimp AND they short changed me. In every one of these instances, I could not call the feedback line at the bottom of the receipt because the bottom of the receipt had been torn off. Every time. I can forgive a mistake and I know shortages of supplies or long wait times are not their fault, but this is just poor training and almost certainly poor management. Someone should hold them accountable, but I won't be going back and I suggest you avoid this place as well.
We read a review by a food critic named Jeremy Schneider, who rated Popeye’s fish sandwich as one of the best, so we made a point to try it. We don’t agree. We thought it was mediocre at best, and mine was extremely salty, and bland otherwise. At least it was served nice and hot. The big surprise was the mac and cheese side - it was delicious! The order taker (female) was friendly, but the guy at the window was rude for absolutely no reason. We have no idea as to why he barely looked at us or spoke, even when handing back my card. Maybe he was having a bad day, or unhappy about being there, because it certainly wasn’t anything we did or said. He said nothing at all when he handed us the food. I automatically said “thank you” to which he replied “yep”. I have never seen him there before, and hope I don’t see him again. We usually get chicken sandwiches once or twice per month. I think we will drive around the building before we order next time, to make sure he isn’t the one at the window. I certainly hope he wasn’t the manager, because he was very unprofessional, and barely even civil.

If I could give them a half of a start I would. The inside is filthy. There was no line. Not busy and 3 customers inside and no drive thru line. We had to wait almost 5 minutes to be greeted. Had to clean off our own table and the seat. Stepping on garbage all over the floor. Our receipt was correct but none of our food was, nor did it taste hot and fresh. The staff was rude, sloppy and lazy. This visit was supposed to redeem Popeyes from my last visit where I waited AN HOUR for my food when it wasn't even busy. I will NEVER return here again. The food is trash, the store looks like trash and so didn't the staff.
Came into Popeyes to later realize that the employees are mistreated by a lady named "Christy" she was yelling and cussing and just not showing a good example and being a role model. There used to be a lady i think her name was tanya she was amazing with people.
Awful experience, usually we have great luck here but we paid $28 for our chicken sandwiches the 2 eat for $10 deal, a chicken leg and a Mac n cheese. Mac n cheese had the pictured burnt layer of cheese on all 3, chicken leg was drenched in grease and the chicken sandwiches were SO SOGGY we both took a bite and had to spit it back out. Really disappointed. Come here because how much my kiddos love it and they couldnt even eat the food tonight.
If I could give -10 stars I would. Terrible experience, worst ever. Food was cold and disgusting, couldn't eat it. Popcorn shrimp my grandson had were mostly breading with no shrimp and cold. Had no napkins, only soda available was coke. Never go back to the Horseheads NY location store #12414
My family and I stop by here at least once a month. While passing through. Staff is ALWAYS friendly and efficient. Last night we witnessed staff and management handle a situation with poise, respect, and even tempers. A customer came in and proceeded to demand a refund after her the family literally ate +95% of the meal. The customer was just trying to get a free meal and was being rude, disrespectful, and all around very unpleasant. I have worked in the food service industry, if a customer would have been that belligerent to me or my staff. I too would have refunded their meal then invited the to call the franchisor owner and file a complaint with because I would never let them back into my restaurant again.
So thanks to Tanya for correcting what had happen to us on our last visit to popeyes I'd like to correct my review to reflect the fact that up till the last visit ive never had a bad thing to say about our local popeyes!!! Thank you so much Tanya for restoring of faith in our love for popeyes chicken and for being a wonderful gm for your stores Thank you and see you again soon
