We came for dinner. My daughter got dessert, we left right after. We won't be back.
We wanted to have some home cooking so we chose Curly's. It was a great choice. Debbie got the meatloaf is was exceptional and big enough for 3 meals. I ordered in ham and cheese melt with fries and coleslaw. What a great meal. Service was great, good exceptional at a reasonable price.
Food was delicious with nice portions. Only problem was the waitress was not attentive with refills on drinks or asking about how our food was. Everyone at our table was left without a beverage at one point.??
We felt like getting a fish fry for dinner as take out. Fish was tasty but fries were soggy and I think they have changed their coleslaw recipe. Very little dressing on it and cabbage tasted old. No rolls with the meal . Kind of disappointed in this one. They were very busy though so I hope the others had a good experience.
It's a real treat coming here, Chicken and biscuits mashed potatoes and sloshed with gravy, it's excellent. Their coleslaw is the best I've ever had, the way the cabbage is cut as well as the sweet and tangy dressing, gotta get a double batch. It's that good.
I'm from Virginia and miss southern food so much, so I was estatic when I found a place that made sausage gravy and biscuits. But what I ate this morning was the blandest thing I've ever tasted. The sausage itself tasted like nothing. I didn't know sausage could do that! The biscuits were bland and dry. I assume the gravy was made with the same flavorless sausage so it didn't taste good either. To say I was disappointed feels like an understatement. I was ready to dig into the generous amount of gravy I had been given. It's unlikely that I will be back, which is pretty unfortunate. I really wanted to like Curly's.
Lunch there was very good, as was the service. I asked for a half portion of a menu item. They were very willing to accommodate me. A whole portion would have been to much Lunch. I was pleased.
Great fish fry, Mac & cheese (like homemade) and their delicious cole slaw!! Everything was awesome!

Food is good as always, but beware. They now charge for the "privilege of using a credit or debit card". The cashier stated that the credit card processing company increased their rates.I placed an order by phone and was quoted $56.81 but was charged $59.02 after the 3.99%Perhaps they should seek another processing company if they want to keep their loyal customers happy. Just my humble opinion.
