Went in for bagels with family and sat down to eat. Only to experience a man set up in the corner watching porn on his phone next to my children. It was loud. We immediately left and called the store to alert management. Put on hold, hung up on and never answered. We called the owners in SC to describe what happened - while the owner listened to us and said he would contact local management as the man was still in the store, he made a comment that this ‘wasn’t intentional’. I’m not sure how this could be MORE intentional. Check your surroundings at this place. And be on the lookout for a man in his mid-fifties, set up in the corner, with his phone on a stand - alone. It was very clear this wasn’t his first time doing this.
I had an amazing breakfast sandwich from West End. Totally delicious-egg bacon and cheddar on an everything bagel. Pure perfection!Sadly my lunch order was awful. Chicken salad that clearly was made from canned chicken and not fresh. And the Mac salad was made with Miracle Whip. For sure not the norm. It was too sweet and gross.
I cant figure out why toasting a bagel putting two eggs sausage and cheese is hard. It wasn't busy there was 4 or 5 people working . If bagel stores cant toast a bagel not worm it actually toast it remember cheese ketchup salt and pepper you should give up and close. I teyed for a month today was the last shot. Gonna have my bagels brought from long island make my sandwiches myself.
Bagels are always fresh & delicious!! Friendly and efficient staff too ?? Highly recommend an everything with bacon scallion the next time you're in the area ??
One of the best bagels in the area. Uncommon grounds is their only real competition in my opinion. They make excellent breakfast sandwiches and so many really good varieties of cream cheese. Always busy but they usually get you in and out quickly. Only downside in my opinion is that call ahead isn't very accessible. Usually end up on hold long enough that calling ahead doesn't make the process any quicker
Best bagels in the area. Be warned, the store is very small and on weekends it can get very busy. The wait is worth it.
Awesome bagels and specialty sandwiches……closest to NYC bagels around…. Reminds me of Bruggers when it was ONLY in Troy
With all of the competition in the area West End Bagels simply is not very good and I would go elsewhere. Many times the orders have been wrong which was again the case today. The bagels are never toasted and the toppings are routinely wrong which has been the case the past few times. Today we've got a toasted French toast bagel with cream cheese or rather an untoasted bagel with a slab of butter on it.
I absolutely love this place but the customer experience has gone downhill quickly as of late. There seems to be no management. For the past few months my orders have been wrong every time I’ve visited. The wait time has increased far beyond what is reasonable. I waited 45 minutes only to be told they hadn’t even started on my order yet. When I asked about it no one could be bothered to figure out what was going on or even seemed to care. I was late for an appointment due to waiting so had to cancel the order, which again no one even seemed to care about. Other guests in line seemed to have a very similar experience. I get it, Covid, it’s a busy place etc, but I don’t think I’ll be back despite how much I enjoy this place.11/28 update: same issues
Great bagels with plenty of cream cheese. If you plan on visiting around 8 to 9 I recommend ordering online to pickup. It gets really busy around this time on the weekends and you may have to wait. Overall the wait is worth it
