My husband and I had our first experience at Pancho’s Mexican Restaurant, it was a pleasant one. We were seated immediately and served a basket of warm nachos and salsa sauce. The beer came in a frosted mug with a lime. The menu is outstanding with numerous selections. We ordered the grande special and a shrimp dish, both were super delicious. We had so much food that I didn’t have room for fried ice cream. I highly recommend Pancho’s and also Peter our waiter. Give it a try, you’ll agree.
I placed an online pickup order with this amazing restaurant the other day, but like the idiot that I am, I guess I never hit “submit”. Which I didn’t know until I got there, asking to pick up my order, when they informed me of this. Well, every single one of the staff, and (I think) either the owner, or a senior manager, did everything they could to make me feel like a priority, and he (aforementioned either owner or senior staff) ended up handing me my order inside of maybe 7-8 minutes. They were so great to deal with. Friendly, courteous, accommodating…..and I haven’t even mentioned the quality of the food! I only gave them 5 stars because it doesn’t allow me to give them 6.
What a great place to stop at! Our second time here in a year and what a fabulous spot. Excellent food, great drink menu with the largest margaritas north of the Hudson River! Just minutes off I-87, find the best stop along your trip to get some premium food, drinks, stretch your legs, and fun for the kids at Pancho’s in Clifton Park.
They didn't have the Masters golf on as they only have sling TV. The service is very good. The food is good. Margaritas are good . Atmosphere is ok. Just a nice neighborhood Mexican restaurant ?.
We couldn't wait to try Pancho's. We found out, the best part of our visit, was leaving. Had an hour wait at our table to get service, (Waiter was good,I don't blame him)but being "busy" is not an excuse to me. Should prepare for that! We saw at least 3 empty tables. The food..bland, no flavor, and my wife has never had a burrito without refried beans inside it...was told not their style. She also ordered a Beef enchilada,(make your own combo)and received a Chicken instead??...I ordered the chimichangas, small, and again flavorless. The order comes with 2, but their 2 equals 1 at our "still favorite" place,. I'm not "dissing" the establishment, just not the true mexican we are used to. Also...I never get heartburn, BUT..at 2am, It was so bad it woke me up...and that's saying something. Glad, but not glad we tried the place.
Lunch special #1 $7.99. It was great, always is!
I really enjoyed the food at Pancho’s. Everything was flavorful. The decor is super cute and the waiter was really attentive. I Would definitely eat there again.
I moved into this area within the past year. I like to try out all the local ethnic-type restaurants within 10-15 miles of where I live before deciding on my "go-to" for that style of food.I will not be returning to Pancho's in Clifton Park. Food was not good at all. All 4 of us left food on their dish. Not the usual result for Mexican food. Very uninspiring. Nothing bad but nothing worth coming back for. Poblanos Rellenos were very disappointing. Salsa was basically tomato sauce with onions. Enchiladas Verdes were dry and cold. Rice was dry and not fresh.Service was not prompt. Twice we had to stand up and call for our server. It's not a big dining area.
We used to love Poncho’s for Mexican cuisine. We were very disappointed this trip. We ordered pork carnitas, which was the special, and tacos. The meals were uninspired and bland. The staff was nice, service was good and restaurant festive but the meal tasted dull. The ingredients didn’t taste fresh - no pizazz whatsoever.
We love coming to Pancho’s! The servers are very friendly, and the atmosphere is fun. The food is consistent and tastes so good, from the meal down to the complementary chips and salsa! 10/10 would recommend!
