We have gone here for years. I feel it is the Best Diner in the Capital District. Great food & Great Service
Great food and great service !
Went there for breakfast today with the family. The food was great. The service was horrible our waiter was rude and not tentative. I believe he was racist because there was a non white person with us. I’m so disappointed in that restaurant and will never return. It’s a total shame because we have been there before and have a great time, but this time was bad enough to say I will not return and I will also tell everyone I k ow.
Food was okay, Service was the worst, well at least our server, but thank God there is more then 1 wait staff, the waitess that wasn't assigned to our table we tipped. Our waiter never came back to ask how our food was, or ask if we were even served the proper order.BUT the idea of mimosas for breakfast was great unfortunately we can only have one cuz the waiter never came back we did yell for him we went by once to get the bill so we could leave. We will try again but I know what server not to get...
Brandy was a wonderful waitress. We waited way to long for our order to arrive. I was with a guest. One dish was a simple omelette and another dish was scrambled eggs. Probably took a half hour from the time we ordered. The diner gave no discount on the meal for the poor service from the kitchen. The home fries were very good, well cooked, just the way I like it.
This place has gone down in recent years. Most of the food is delicious - I particularly enjoy their breakfast options as well as their soups. The last time I went for dinner I ordered the chili, and it was just ground beef in a bowl without any liquid. I asked for some cheese to put on top and the waiter argued with me about putting cheese on chili?? The last time I went for breakfast, there was only a couple people there, but the waiter took a long time to come to our table every time because she was talking to the other waitress by the bar. Until the food is just straight up bad, I won’t stop going, but it is very disappointing that their quality has gone down.
Excellent breakfast. Slow service due to it being very busy, but super fast food delivery after the order was taken. The staff were very friendly. I had an egg white omelette with spinach and onions which was prepared correct. The home fries are boiled potato and very good. We will be back again.
loved our server. our first time there but my last experience the server. a younger person didn't offer to refill my coffee had to ask another server for Togo box. had to ask for sweet n low. got sugar instead wasn't pleased still left a good tip
We visited this morning for breakfast. It was very busy, as it usually is on Sunday. It did not take us long to get inside and get a booth. All good. Our waiter was obnoxious and rude. Making unprompted comments about China (?), plastic, and he was rude to the only person of color at the table. He made sure to leave our table as fast as he could. Not sure if he was rude because we were young, obviously queer, or what, but it ruined the meal. Our food was eh, the bread and bagels were soggy, the potatoes were lackluster and everything tasted very bland. It was very disappointing. My family and I used to frequent this place over the years and loved to stop in when I’m back in town. But I’m going to pass on future visits.
Just left your establishment still hungry. I couldn't finish my meal because of the long strand of hair that was in it. Instead of my server asking if there was something else I wanted, he said "sorry" and then handed me my check. I feel like the right thing to do would to have asked if I wanted a replacement or just take it off the check without me having to go complain to the manager. I dont enjoy eating my own hair let alone someone else's ?
