This place was once a bastion of authenticity.However since the pandemic started the quality has slipped a bit. That being said it is still a good place for Japanese. Not the best (that would be Kuni's) but a solid 2nd place. The negimaki are always great. The unagi donbury isn't bad at all. Still not like grandma used to make. I miss when sushi bars had more variety, tasty kohada and aji in summer with buri and mutsu in winter. I like the staff here and I hope they offer dine in again soon. I'm sure the quality will go up again. Then this place will be #1.
I've never had this much sushi in my life! I work on the Elmwood strip and it's so hard to not default to sushi everyday. Super fast, tasty and great prices.
Always enjoyed the sushi here, everything I ever had tasted so fresh. Now due to covid, your no longer able to eat inside. So everything now is takeout. They actually created a takeout window for you, so you can pick up your food.
Super affordable lunch deals and their special rolls are amazing too!
This is a response to a previous customers experience at our restaurant. While it was extremely unfortunate and unlucky that it had occurred to them, we had taken steps to ensure that it will not happen to anyone else. The restaurant inspected immediately after the incident, after over an hour the inspector has passed us and found no evidence of violations at our store. Still I sincerely apologize and hope that we can serve everyone to the best of our ability. The inspection took place 07/13/2021 inspector's name was Emily Daham. The inspector stated complaint and routine inspection performed. No evidence found to support complaint.
I have to say I'm very discussed and disappointed!!! We order from Wasabi often and it's good but today we got takeout and found a dead COCKROACH on the bottom of the bag after taking out our food?. We immediately called and they responded with we have no cockroaches here and blamed it on the bag company. We drove back, gave them food back in bag and got our money back. Please check your bags and food. GROSS. Sorry to say I will not be eatting here again. I rate this with no stars but no stars was not an option!!!!

Open up so we can sit down! Great food, it's probably one of the best around for sushi. Highly recommended. Parking can be tricky around this area.
As a true New Yorker who spent 29 years of her life in New York City I have to say wasabi is by far the best Japanese restaurant in Western New York it is the only one that reminds me of "home" and the staff goes above and beyond every single time I am there even when it's technically after hours! Highly recommend this restaurant for all Japanese lovers and sushi lovers especially.
