Great food and staff at the bar!
Nice place if you want a nice delicious southern Cuisine. The manager Adam is phenomenal.
Overpriced and bland food. The spinach was actually disgusting. It smelled like wet dog and didn't taste much better than it smelled. The brisket was very fatty but decent otherwise. The cowboy caviar was also poor. The sweet potato pie was good but a tiny portion. The rice was ok, but again, no real flavour to speak of. Service was very good and fast.
The atmosphere, the staff and the people in general has a great hospitality. Good old soul! Ain't nothing like eat some good old southern food.??
There are few restaurants that provide a great distinction between greatness. The restaurant is located in downtown Buffalo. This historic property was converted into an elegant restaurant. The brick was to the wooden flooring. The food was mind boggling for southern Louisiana cuisine. We ordered the biscuits with jam. Served hot and fresh. The Nashville hot chicken and jambalaya with sweet sausage was so delicious, it was mind blowing. To enlighten our senses, we ordered the oooey gooey cake and bread pudding. Simply outrageously delicious. The only problem was parking. We were fortunate to see a pay lot across the street. Parking on the street is difficult. For people with disabilities, the dining rooms and bathrooms are on the upper level and people need to climb stairs. The same is for the entrance. The restaurant is not ADA accessible.
Came on down to downtown Buffalo for my cousins birthday dinner. I haven't been here in awhile this was only my second time here. If you come in a group try and carpool...parking is hard to find. I was lucky enough to find off street parking. We did make reservations ahead of time. Everything went smooth. Our waiter Tory was amazing! She was very nice. The food was good! We all had a great time.
Sunday brunch time staff was warm and welcoming. Mint julep was served properly in a metal cup with a mint sprig, homemade syrup and a crushed ice scoop on top. Food was very, very good. Recommend without hesitation. Looking forward to going back to try the dinner menu.
Went to Toutant for a late Sunday brunch ( made reservations earlier). Started with Sunday sweet - Cinnamon Roll...it was amazing. We ordered Shrimp Jambalaya ( from Dinner menu), which the staff readily obliged. The Tennessee chicken sandwich was great as was the butter milk chicken. The bread pudding has the makings of a classic as well. Well worth a visit.
Nice atmosphere. Nice customer service but the greens taste like vinegar. Very sour with no meat in them. The meat portion was small about 5 pieces for Bunt beef for 15 bucks the yams was super hot had to wait for it to cook down just to enjoy
I can't say enough good things about Toutant. I've probably visited half a dozen times at this point, and I have never eaten a single thing I didn't like. I love Southern food, and I love that I can still go after having to be gluten free. I've been for a special occasion and also for a meal with friends. Everyone I have brought here has also loved it. Just go!
