Went here twice just to give this place another shot. Our server amazing as he was the bartender and the waiter. The place is amazing inside. The food on both occasions and ordering multiple items was pretty bland. With all the great reviews I was expecting some pretty great food but the food tasted kinda old and like they only added a small amount of seasoning which I was really left puzzled.Do not get me wrong. The location, atmosphere, and waiter was super great. I just can’t recommend nor can I go back for food.
Was excited to try this restaurant because of the good reviews. I’ve been twice and both times I was unfortunately, not very impressed. The food was so so. We ordered the pork chop and the fettuccine. A family member ordered the lobster risotto and there wasn’t much flavor. I feel for the price of each meal the quality of the food should be a bit better. I gave two stars because the service was pretty good.
Absolutely exceptional! The tuna tartare was my favourite.
Very delicious Italian food with exceptional staff and service. I visited this restaurant couple weeks ago for a special occasion and ordered 2 dishes and a dessert. Enjoyed the atmosphere and the interior design. I am glad that I choose to dine out at SZND.
A group of us went on a Saturday night, and the restaurant is beautiful and clean. The service was ok, nothing special, but the main issue was with the food and drinks. The drinks were quite water-downed tasting, and the food wasn’t very good. The lobster risotto had a lobster that was undercooked and maybe not fully fresh, the chicken was dry, and my friend had halibut that was under seasoned. It was a fun experience but not worth the price point. Also SZND used to have some amazing menu items, and this menu currently doesn’t seem to be nearly as good.
I was disappointed with dinner. While the ambience and service by the server were great, the food was lacking.I had the lobster Risotto and was unimpressed by the lobster. It was bland and the texture did not seem like it was fresh.I would give the restaurant another try, but would be cautious about what I order, and send back anything that did not meet the expectations.
Excellent.Decided to dine at this restaurant with my family and fiancé to celebrate a promotion at work. I am a huge Buffalo foodie and have dined at almost every restaurant in the area. This was one of the best experiences I have ever had at a restaurant. I was nervous at first because of the size of the dining area, I thought it might get too noisy to hear my family. It was not at all. The waitress was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. She gave her recommendations when asked what dishes she enjoyed on the menu. Her recommendations were wonderful and we loved everything we ordered. The food was incredible. For our main entrees we had the lobster risotto, sea bass, ragu pasta, and the skirt steak. I couldn’t decide which one was at the top of the list. The menu selection is a bit small and there are no nightly specials so keep that in mind when trying out this restaurant. The one downside was that there is no decaf coffee available for dessert. I think this would be an excellent addition to offer guests. Overall the experience was great and the food was even better. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and I will be back to dine in the future!(I apologize the picture quality isn’t great. I usually take lots of pictures but the food was so good I forgot! Pictured below is the shrimp app, sea bass, and lobster risotto)
Great service, food and atmosphere.
It's tricky to find. But it's just behind the storefront.Awesome food. I had the duck breast.
Stylish and modern decor matches their creatively satisfying culinary experience. The small but flavorful menu is seasonal but you won’t leave a morsel for the dishwasher to rinse. 4 stars. We will be back in the fall
