Tried to stop for lunch today and was asked if I had a reservation. There were 2 men sitting at one table in the bar area and no one in the back dining room and they would not serve me. I completely understand that when it is busy to call for a reservation but when it is Friday at 12:35 and no one was there, you should say " I can seat you but next time please call for a reservation". I hope you fix your policy and fast. BTW I have been going there since 1985 through all the change in management but not since the pandemic. Not saying that I will not try again with a reservation..

This place is amazing. The food was delicious. Huge portions too. Great genuine service. If you are looking for glamour this is not it, but it is above the rest as far as flavor and coziness. Call for reservations they are short staffed.

We will never go there again, we were the only people in there at the time. They charged us 15% extra for not having a reservation, unbelievable to us. If they had told us that we would have understood and then made the decision to stay or not.We have loved this place for 50 years but will never go there again

We go at least twice a year with exception of last 2 due to COVID. My husband loves it, he has been going since he was a child so like 60 plus years. I find they use too much oil and food is quite spicy for my taste. The staff is friendly and they do check on you.

Went here because of the good ratings... We were kinda duped ): we had to call in and make a reservation to eat there even though no one was inside which was weird. If you're open just let people come in and eat.... The chicken parmigiana was ok but the spaghetti tasted, as my kids said, "burnt" and that's the perfect description. It was just gross, had to choke it down. Meatballs were $2 each and they weren't very big. The waitress was very apathetic and didn't offer refills for our drinks, had to ask her for them... And now that we got our bill it looks like they charged for the refill without telling us. I HATE it went places do that. I mean, just overall it just sucked our whole bill was $90....$10 in just drinks ($3 each) my gosh.... I'll never come back here.

Love this place.

Was invited here today by a friend who was a regular for half a century. Since the place prides itself with their spaghetti, I ordered a full size and two meatballs (the latter is sold separately). It was served less than 5 minutes later. At first taste, you won't really notice anything special and would be just average. Same goes for the meatballs. But as you continue to eat the spaghetti and the sauce and later mix it with the meatballs, the Umami sensation starts to kick in and you want more of it. I don't consider it as THE best out there, but it is a unique experience and satisfying overall.

Two of us were in Buffalo helping out with the Red Cross humanitarian response to the TOPS Market attack. After our shift we wanted to get something to eat. I found the place and it was inexpensive. We got to the door and the sign said takeout only without a reservation. There was a phone number so I called. We were invited in, given a nice table and ordered. I had a birch beer which I can’t get where I live. They were very busy. My friend ordered the vegetarian lasagna and I got one of their specials, the sentanesca. It was loaded with tomatoes, black olives, and garlic which was almost like a purée with rigatoni. It was superb. This is a neighborhood type place worth the trip. And the lasagna was good as well. The staff was very hospitable. We were thanked for coming to help.

This is a MUST STOP twice a year when I visit family back here in Buffalo! I've eaten here for over 30yrs and the food is exactly how I remember it from back then. Service is excellent! The waitress/waiters are very attentive and informative The portions are plentiful and there is a nice variety of authentic Italian cuisine. I will continue to dine here when in town. Thank you Santasiero's!!

I must say, I have have been here quite a few times and have been satisfied. Yesterday my son and I stopped in for a late lunch/early dinner, around 3. There were no patrons in the back dining area, we walked up front, there was 1 guy at the counter and no other customers. There were at least 3 or4 people in the kitchen. No one came out and addressed us. Finally 2 women walked out of the kitchen, 1 went to the bar without saying anything. The other went to wipe down a table 2 feet behind us as we just stood there, wondering what to do. Finally I asked the woman wiping the table if it was take out only? She sharpky and rudely said, unless you have a reservation and then continued wiping the table. Mind you, there were no customers and it was between rush hours. It was obvious they did not want customers so I said to my son, well, let's go. On our way out, I could hear the woman loudly saying something about Nasty people!!! Their food is good but not good enough to put up with that type of treatment!!!!! Never Again!!!!
