Always great food, atmosphere, and staff. Pride of ownership shows in everything they do. Reservations are required and you will know why, because it's the best!
I spent a lot of time traveling all of Italy and America and many other countries. I eat Italian food everywhere I go. I can think of few restaurants that produced exceptional Italian dishes like San Marco and none as consistent nor as long. I could never compare another restaurant to this place because no place in the world has front of the house personality; heart, a comedic touch, class, sophistication and beauty like San Marco. It’s an honor and privilege to eat here every single time, spanning most my life now-over thirty years. This place even makes me happy every time a friend texts to say they are with Frank and Nancy. Order the Wild Boar with Juniper Berries, with grapes from Montalcino.
The food is absolutely amazing! It has that nice classic atmosphere with it. I would return back 10/10!
Came for a family dinner for my mother-in-laws birthday. Staff was friendly and efficient. One of the only places I've been where the server poured champagne correctly so that we didn't lose all of the bubbles. Everyone enjoyed their entrees and the home made ravioli was fanstastic.
The food is excellent. The venison special was the best venison I have ever tasted. Veal saltimbocca was excellent. Not one bad thing to say about any of the food at our table. The owner personally greets everyone. The staff was very friendly. We will be back.
Shovel your sidewalks. If laziness is indicative of your business, you deserve one star. You're one of the very few businesses on your busy street who don't treat your sidewalks. Be better!
Incredible dining experience and delicious food. Though the restaurant has been around for a long time, I had never been before - it's a hidden gem in the area. We will be back soon!
To start off, Going into the establishment was nice and cozy we were seated right by te door by another couple. With covid going on we polietly asked to move and the waitress let us. However we heared the manager say "Why are they moving they don't like it". I found this very rude. Our witress was quite nice. We order our entree's and they were pretty good. We then ordered our food and it arrived in a timely maner. However my pasta was very over salted and my boyfriends food tasted weird. He asked me to bite into his samon to see if it was just him. It litteraly tasted like dish soap. It was slimy and seemed like they tried to dress it up in flavor. (did not work) We immeadiatly called the manager over and explaind our complaint. He proceeded to get hostile and angry. Saying to my boyfriend "we've been here 30 years and never had a comuster complain. This is fresh and it's not that it's not good you just don't like it" I found this extremly rude and disrespectful. Our food was taken away and he went back behind the counter and proceeded to talk about us for a momen to another waitress. We ordered dessert and asked that we not be charged for the dishes my boyfriend did not eat. We then got our bill and they still charged us $133.76. They did not take off one of the dishes. Overall it was a terrible experience and i will never eat here again. ( My boyfriend was born and raised in italy and is brown and I am an African-American. )
The restaurant does book up quickly for reservations throughout the week so plan ahead. The atmosphere is wonderful for dates, or even a very nice birthday dinner. I would say the attire is closer to business casual, but I did wear a tie. I also saw other patrons wearing a tie as well. It's an Italian restaurant so it mostly offers wine with a small beer menu- no spirits. The menu was fantastic and offered truly authentic dishes. The service was great and the food was superb. It was a pricier dining experience, but this restaurant isn't mean to be a weekly occurrence.
My wife and I visited about a week ago for the first time. We had heard about it and always wanted to give it a try. First let me say the food was good but the service was absolutely awful. Our server was Lisa. After we were seated it took her about 4-5 minutes to come over and take our beverage order, during the time we were waiting we could see her off to the side scrolling on her phone. Then while taking our order she kept staring at my wife making her feel extremely uncomfortable. During the meal my wife asked for more bread and she acted as if this was the biggest inconvenience for her. At the end of the meal when she brought the bill she automatically assumed we were paying cash and when I explained we had a card she seemed shocked. I believe we received this treatment because we are African-American. I will not ever return to this establishment because of Lisa.
