Good variety of menu options. Food was good, not great. Service was good.

I usually won’t go out of my way to write a review ESPECIALLY not a 3 star review which out of all the ratings is the most useless. But Waves is Perfectly 3 stars. It has all the elements of being a great restaurant: amazing , good atmosphere, decent service. But yet everything about this place is so brutally underwhelming. Though I could pick apart a lot, I’d like to focus on the food. I have been disappointed in the past but I thought I’d give it another try. The miso soup tasted like hot chicken broth from the box. The spicy tuna is better at Wegmans and the pad see ew was mid at best. Especially for the price, there is no reason it should be as mediocre as it is.Now I don’t like to bring down a local business, so if I may be so inclined to make a few recommendations to whomever is reading this. Wasabi on elmwood has the best miso soup in Buffalo. Kunis is quaint and upscale and has the most transformative sushi experience in WNY. For something more casual that will blow you away every time, the pad see ew at Street Asian Food is unbelievably (I would also recommend their mango salad). And an honorable mention to Saigon Cafe right next door. All of these places are on or off of elmwood so they still have the location factor and all the other positive elements of waves, just significantly better food. Hope this was as useful as a three star review can be.

I like Thai food. Everywhere I go, always look for Thai restaurants. Yesterday I tried this one, ordered vegetable Thai dish, it was delicious, highly recommended!

Waves was amazing, quick service, great food, nice waiters, beautiful scenery, and nice music, I'm surprised it wasn't packed and would definitely recommend. The place was very clean and the food had good pricing. My favorite part was the little toothpick dispenser.

Awesome noodle dishes! I'll definitely return this restaurant. They also have a bar for those looking to have adult beverages with their tasty food.

Post visit review so no pix. but the papaya salad I had was very tasty and FRESH. I ordered a sec to go. Sunday downtown is dead and they had only one waiter but the drinks I tried were refreshing and strong! Cool atmosphere. 4 stars due to understaffing but I'll be back.

Yummy food with great portion size.

Such a great spot, clean, spacious, a nice bar, and great staff. The red curry is absolutely delicious, we had a couple surf clams and firey udon too. The prices are low enough where our family can sit down and try a bunch of things, a really amazing place

I ordered the Waves Special Roll, Unagi Roll and Ichiban Avocado Roll for delivery. It was good, but it's nothing special. Served with barely any wasabi and soy sauce. Pretty average as far as sushi goes.

The view is grand. The food was good. Salmon glass of Cabernet and french onion soup with cheesecake dessert, $70.
