I’ve dined here in the past and on my yearly visit to Buffalo I pick this place to return to and each time I’ve very much enjoyed myself. The food is all freshly prepared and they offer a wide variety of specials. I especially enjoyed the onion soup which is served with lots of melted cheese and Italian bread with garlic and spices butter. Just marvelous! Dinner was an absolute delight - scallops and shrimps over pasta. Very, very good. The waitress was very friendly, personable and very efficient. I would recommend that all my friends and family dine here.
This place is great! Period! The clams and oysters along with their other food items are very fresh. All of the Italian dishes are authentic in taste and presentation
This is quintessential old school Italian Restaurant. Our server Mark was one of the best servers that we have ever had. He was so professional and had a passion for service and for the establishment.The owner is truly kind and jolly, he always has a twinkle in his eyes, and takes pride in the restaurant. He takes the time to speak with you and males you feel special. He even came and serenaded us with his harmonica. The food is absolutely fantastic!!!! The chicken picatta was moist and crisp. The red sauce is great. The oysters are fresh and tasty!
Marattos is a rarity in today’s restaurant world. Only the finest ingredients are Used. The owner, Mark is the best of all worlds..a graduate of Cornell School ( food & hospitality ) ,son of a lifelong downtown restaurant owner , & a fan of Julia Child & James Beard….his meals top any where we have traveled locally, USA & Abroad…incl the highest end cruise ships. All meals are wonderful & the clams he Manages to get top any you will find! Wait staff wonderful…atmosphere cozy & fun For both locals & strangers. Not for super trendy wannabes…this is a beautifully served menu of tradtion …with twists available for those who want them.
My wife and I decided to try them out for a date night. The waitress was very attentive and friendly. I ordered the veal marsala and my wife ordered the chicken piccata. The food was absolutely delicious. I would highly recommend this restaurant. I know I'll be back.
I haven’t been there in many years. I was delighted at how great everything was! The food was really good and I will definitely come back!
If you want to get authentic Italian food and the best raw oysters and clams GO HERE!!! I’m from Florida but I make a point to come to Marottos every time I visit amazing food!

I would provide a better rating but for 2 things: the little neck clams were absurdly immature, and the waitress asked me what my wife would be having. The food was very good otherwise, as was the service. The chicken piccata was delicious. The atmosphere was lovely. I'll go back and try again for those things alone. Maybe next time the dozen little neck clams (raw) will be mature enough to justify the 18 bucks.
