Love the atmosphere & view. Great food & friendly staff.
We had an excellent waiter Nate that made our girl’s lunch so much fun! Ceviche was amazing as were the Lobster Roll❤️
Great food and love the view from the patio.
Great location but terrible food and service. It’s a place you try a bunch of times because the views are great but the meal was terrible and we couldn’t even tell our server because she never came to check on us.
I have been coming here for years. Not sure where they got their hostess this year but I will not be back. Typically you can walk outback and the seating in the far end is walk up only. No service there you can get a drink at bar and sit. So out I went with my 11 year old son. It was 90 outside. We were apprehended by a women in an orange romper Teresa I think is her name who yelled at me and told me to go back inside. When I asked a question she said I was prohibited and to go in. I was floored. We went inside and to the hostess. My son put his elbows on the hostess stand and the women in Orange came over and yelled at him. We then went across the hall to shop. As we were checking out she yelled to the cashier can you read this sign it says do not lean on the stand. The cashier puzzled said yes. She said oh good people can't. My son is dyslexic he can't read it. He was so embarrassed and had tears in his eyes. Instead of making a scene I left and called the restaurant and asked for a manager. She told me I couldn't speak to one. Liberty hound management this is unacceptable!
My friend and I came in for lunch. We were waited on by Frank. He was very attentive. We had their Hungarian dip, shrimp platter and jambalaya. Delicious. So glad they were open for the NCAA weekend. Great service.
I have not been here in awhile. I was able to enjoy one of the last gorgeous summer days on their patio.I indulged with a cold glass of rose and was delighted with my shrimp and crab tostadas. I thought this would be a snack with the rising food costs. I was shocked when 2 huge tostadas came out that were loaded with shrimp and crab meat. There was more seafood than lettuce, that never happens. The shrimp were very big, and both seafood items were very fresh. There was plentiful amounts of both pico de gallo and avocado to round this out. The tostadas were crust and a nice crunch to the dish. I was full after this and wanting more. I need to go back very soon!Good service and the patio was perfect. I highly recommend to eat and have drinks on nice weather days.
Went with a group and overall we all enjoyed the atmosphere and food (one person didn't care for her fish and they took it off her check).I had the Liberty Burger and it was delicious! Came with bacon and cheese so that's always a winning combo. The fries were great as well. The biggest disappointment was my cocktail. I got the hurricane and like others in my party who ordered it was not happy with how weak it was. It tasted like there was little to no alcohol in the drink. It tastes like a mixed fruit juice, but no booze.I'd go back, but stay away from the cocktails next time.
We were visiting family and had a phenomenal lunch! Huge portions and oh so good!
As patrons of the Liberty Hound for many years (after visiting the naval park w our children), today seemed like the perfect day for a return visit. Hard to pass up outdoor dining on the waterfront on likely the last 80 degree day Buffalo will see in 2021. Unfortunately, this was not a good experience from the beginning. We approached the hostess to request a table. Clearly, she was annoyed that we interrupted her conversation w another staff member and we were held waiting until she felt like she was done. She was abrasive and abrupt from the start. We were told we would have a 45 min to an hour wait (at 3:30 on a Monday with a small crowd on the patio) unless we sat at a high top. We declined and added our names to the non-existent waiting list. We then got drinks at the bar and went outside and stood at a shady spot in a corner near an empty table for 6…completely out of the way…one of the MANY empty high tops we had declined for dining. Within a couple of minutes she approached us, telling us we were not allowed to stand there. (The table remained empty the entire time we were there.). She ordered us out from under the awning, into the sun. (A member of our party is a cancer patient who has been advised to stay out of the sun due to interaction with medications.). Before we were able to even say this she snapped at us that we needed to move and stood guard until we did. We opted to do so rather than cause a scene. Not two minutes later, she was back out telling us that we had not moved far enough away…we needed to go ALL THE WAY TO THE END OF THE PATIO…we had already passed 10 empty tables but that didn’t satisfy her. Again, rude and abrasive. When I went in to quietly tell her that we could not stay in the sun (never got the chance), she curtly grabbed menus and said follow her. The menus were plopped on a table & she walked a few feet away where she stood watching. We then witnessed her addressing a busser with the same arrogant attitude and rude demeanor. Had we not already purchased beverages, we would have simply walked out. We discussed the situation, finished out drinks, and ultimately did that…taking our business to Pearl Street which is always phenomenal. This pandemic has been so hard on businesses. We understand that it is difficult to staff a restaurant and always try to support local. However, there are many local businesses…who actually APPRECIATE their customers. That will be where we spend our money.
