Cool venue with a great selection of on site craft beers. Necessary stop in downtown Buffalo.
Great place to eat. We went there for Mother’s Day brunch and it was amazing! Food was fabulous.Staff including servers, chef, and GM were fantastic. Krista , the GM came to our table to make sure everything was good. We will definitely be back for our next family event
This was the finest Mothers Day Brunch that I've ever been to. There was a huge selection of dishes and it was all home made. The entire staff was very nice and accommodating. Christa the manager is the best around and the staff love her.
DO NOT COME HERE! Go down the street, or anywhere else in the city for decent food and/or mimosas.I live in the building, get a DISCOUNT and still go out of my way to eat/drink somewhere else. The service and food is horrible (ask anyone who’s been there). Honestly, I’m not even trying to sound like a Karen, but people gotta know this place is not worth it.Do not recommend, at all— last time I was there, my partner and I were seated and waited 1 hour before walking away after no one came back to our table. Judging by the other reviewers, this seems to be a common occurrence at the restaurant that the “owner” chooses to not address. As per the other comments, I’m sure this establishment will respond to the 4-5 star reviews and blatantly ignore the others who’s experiences was more than unacceptable.
Beautiful old bar with lots of wood paneling. Modest menu, good food, drink and service.
The building/room itself is stunning and is kept well intact to honor the antique/vintage original esthetics. The service was poor but we aren't ones to take it out on the server so we took it in stride, she was more than likely new to the service industry. It was not busy so we didn't have to take that into account. We were seated by the hostess quickly but then waited well over 10 minutes for anyone to come to our table, we did have an event later on and could tell she wasn't going to be good on time management so I ordered everything for our table of 4 to come out all at once, this includes drinks, apps and dinner that way we could avoid the issue of sitting there for hours waiting for each course. It took about a 30 minutes to get the 4 drinks, we were so thirsty from our walk to get there and it felt like torture to not have anyone come to offer a beverage. It took about an hour to get 1 appetizer of pretzels which were over cooked, blackened and crunchy but we didn't have time to send it back and 3 dinners (2) steak sandwiches and a plate of chicken fingers. The food was served to us cold but we were already running behind in time to get to the show since service was an snails pace. We were never checked on before, during or after our meal, we only seen our server when she was ready to take our order, other than that, she was non existent. The Menu was slim and kind of blah, the food was mediocre, nothing stood out or had any kind of distinct flavor. This is a place to come for the ambience of the beautiful room or if you need a place to kill time before an event in the city BUT LET ME SUGGEST IF YOU HAVE AN EVENT AND YOUR COMING HERE YOU NEED MORE THAN 2 HOURS we were late to our show even though we had reservations and got there 2 hours before our event. They do have some amazing French fries I have to say!
Lafayette Brewing is one of the best, if not the best, breweries in Buffalo! The service is always top-notch, the beer is great, and they have the best food. The day we visited they were serving in-house parfaits. We had the option of Guinness, Oreo, Peanut Butter and Lemon-Blueberry. These were SO GOOD that our entire party ate the flight in a few minutes. The parfait itself is the perfect balance of salty and sweet and goes great with a light drink from the bar.If you live in Buffalo or are just visiting, definitely make Lafayette Brewing a place you visit for good times and great fun!
The food was bad. The risotto was the saltiest thing I ever ate, and I once ate a heaping bowl of salt! The burger was those cheapo Patty's you get at McDonald's and the fries were burnt.
Great staff. The GM, Christa, is amazing. The bartenders are great. Beer selection really is broad. Love the poutine. We will be back
Beautifully restored building, but restaurant is poorly marked to find inside hotel. Food was good , their craft beer was ok, service was very good. Dining room was cold especially if seated near windows. It easy to have a conversation with the high ceiling and split levels. Restrooms are on second floor accessible by stairs or elevator just outside restaurant. Parking is tough on street with snow; sidewalk and door entrances were not very clear.
