I’ve tried unsuccessfully to patronize this business or more than one occasion. Each time they allow me to order my food and make me wait longer than the time in which they claim it will be ready, only to then call me and say, oh we didn’t have that today. This happened AGAIN today with a grubhub order and they waited until the driver was there to pick up the order to say that they didn’t have one of the entrees available and that they hadn’t even started the other. I was advised that they also didn’t have anything else to substitute for the price I paid. When I asked what I should do, I was told that they were very busy and he didn’t have “time for this.” And I was hung up on. I’d recommend that people order Jamaican cuisine elsewhere, especially since they have stated in the past that they aren’t even Jamaican and are from a totally different island.
Love going to island mix, it's right down the street from my house! Only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because the mac & cheese. It was not hot, it really did not have any sort of flavor or salt, and wasn't that cheesy. I'm not expecting a soul food level mac and cheese, but I'm sad to say the mac and cheese I had at panera bread yesterday tasted better ? it's a reason why some restaurants are known for certain dishes...the meal is worth it but next time I might ask for a side substitute rather than waste. Can't go wrong with their curry !

This is not Jamaican food food is foolishness.... yes jerk chicken was given as stew chicken and they did not even have hard dough bread. If you are from the West Indies do not go there
The food is good I enjoyed the oxtail dinner but when you order a small for $17 and then order a large for $22 and the meat is the same amount something is wrong with that. Add more meat or lower your price.

Great service, good prices and amazing food !!! What else could you ask for ? So far I've had the ox tail dinner and fried chicken dinner both are great ! Absolutely no complaints here. Will definitely be repeating the place.
The absolute Best! Authentic eats the cakes so dang moist homemade my favorite is German chocolate red velvet and pound cake?the beef patties always fresh like it’s nothin to critique or bad to say I love the island mix always great customer service too years of great service plus it’s not even many places with authentic Jamaican food that’s actually good Love them ❤️❤️❤️
Well I’ve been going here for a few years and it used to be way better but lately it’s been kind of off very bland not very much food they used to give lots of sauces on the rice it’s been dry the last few times. It’s just men do bland lately even my beef patty wasn’t all that they used to be the best in buffalo but I’m going to start trying other places BUT THE CAKESSSSS AMAZING TRY THE RED VELVET FOR SURE AND GERMAN CHOCOLATE CAKE I just wouldn’t recommend the food anymore where as I used to recommend them to everyone but they also have mac and cheese as a side with your combo which was one of my favorite things just need to add more seasoning or bring the older gentleman back because he always put both his feet in it
Food is good. Mac and cheese has gotten a lil' better. Curry chicken over beans and rice was delicious. Chew carefully, the bones will get you.
