Drinks were fabulous. Patio and dog friendliness was great. Service was great. Duck fat popcorn ($5 for a small bowl a little steep) was amazing. Only thing that was weak was the peach cobbler, was so dry, bland, and missing flavors. Didn’t taste any raspberry and peaches tasted canned. Besides that pretty solid across the board.
A gem of the revitalized Buffalo canal area. I've been a few times now and had a tour. This place offers something for everyone. From the loganberry seltzer to the craft cocktails. I'd say this is a good place to take someone where you can be sure there will be crowd pleasers for the average person who wants something fun to drink (sweet or with crushed ice...) and where you can try true craft spirits/cocktails. They have a reservation only "speak easy" that looks very cool, somewhere to dress up and take someone special for sure (the menu there is where you can get hard to find and high end pours, not just products they make). I've had a dinner with the owners, who explained all the training they've had on oak aging and distilling. On site I think they have like 50 barrels, they don't mess around with the aging process. Buffalo roots 100%, they also are saving a barrel for when the bills and Sabres win the SB or Stanley Cup (see my pics). They also serve food and have beer.
We stumbled upon this place when Resurgence was too full. California vibes, great drinks, patio seating. Didn't try the food but would gladly come back!
We love Hartman's ! This is our "GO-TO" place after work when the workweek has been strong. There's always something new and the atmosphere after work is awesome - kinda low key - but on the weekends, it then turns it up a notch and has a DJ and a "club like" feel. We have been here for all kinds of events - sports, brunch, derby, St. Patrick's Day, etc... every experience just is better than the last! You will NOT be disappointed by going to Hartman's!
Maybe the worst service I have ever had grabbed a menu to get prepared to order drinks because it was a very busy Saturday night and the bartender ripped it out of my girlfriend's hands and then proceeded to tell her fellow bartenders not to serve my girlfriend and I. I can appreciate perhaps my girlfriend overstepping by grabbing a menu but could have been handled much more professional than that. As a Canadian this is the worst experience in America to date.
Hartman’s cocktails, menu, and staff are phenomenal. Last time we were in, although they were extremely busy, the staff and owners were very friendly and accommodating. Their new spring menu is great and make sure you check out the Barrel Room!
Literally the WORST service I have ever experienced. Every single bartender was completely aloof, paid zero attention to any bar patrons, taking shots with one another and it took well over 20 minutes to even get a drink or a menu. Kudos to the kitchen staff because the food was amazing.
The cocktails were delicious! My only grip was we ordered a appetizer and we never got it. We ordered food and 2 drinks at the same time and got the drinks, but no food. We eventually just asked for the check since we were now hangry and didnt want to wait another 30 mins and have them forget again. The food wasnt on the receipt, so the bartender obviously forgot. We wouldve asked earlier, but we couldnt remember exactly when we had ordered it, so we then took note of the time and waited another 20 mins before deciding to leave. It wasnt busy, so hopefully this isnt a norm here. I'd go back but take note of when I order food so we arent waiting around starving.
I love the distillery! The drinks and liquor they make are excellent. The bartender was super friendly and quick and the food was also excellent. Will definitely be back!
Great cocktails, and warm and friendly staff. Definitely accommodating to our large party of 10. 4 kids, ages 8 to 13 and 6 adults. The food and drinks for adults and kids were spectacular. Definitely a must stop if you're in the area.
