The server was nice and courteous but the food was suuuuper slow. Our table of 4 ordered 2 doubles of wings. It took nearly 40 minutes for our order to arrive. And it wasn't really that busy either. Not very good beer options either. Great buffalo hot wings. The actual wings are pretty big and juicy but the BBQ Cajun wings were really bad. There was entirely too much BBQ sauce on them and they were just a wet mess with no hint of Cajun. Finally, I would have to say that this place is pretty pricey for what you get. No french fries or side dishes included with wing orders and only a couple tiny pieces of celery. Somehow our bill came out to almost $200 CAD and 2 of us were only drinking water.
Great experience with Gina at Gabriel’s Gate. She is the best. Absolutely great service and all the fare was excellent as always. Chicken wings and a steak sandwich are pretty tough to beat. A little French onion soup too. By far, the best wings in Buffalo.
We recently had dinner at Gabriel's Gate. I loved the cozy atmosphere with all the cool furnishings like a mirror with antique frame with angels and the church pulpit as you walk in. Our food and drinks were excellent and our waitress was so sweet. There was construction going on at the end of the street so it was blocked off. We managed to find a spot nearby and had a 5 minute walk....no problem. I would definitely go here again if I am ever in Buffalo again.
I searched for "most authentic buffalo wings in buffalo" and i found an article that listed Gabriels Gate as the place to be. Ordered one order of buffalo wings and a small chilli con carne. Chilli was amazing, big chunks of tomato and beefy goodness great flavour. The wings wrere big, i found the drum side to be a little dry but the wing side were perfect. Flavour was just right not too saucy not too dry just perfect. The flavour was not overpowering or too spicy just the right vinegar levels. Overall satisfied.
We went for lunch and had French Onion soup which was highly recommended but it wasn't the best we have had--although very good. The salads were delicious
The food here was good! Our steak was just a little bit on the overdone side, but that was quickly compensated for through phenomenal conversation by our server who was amazing. The appetizers were also very good strongly recommend taking a look at the French Onion Soup. Cocktails and drinks are decently balanced. Maybe a few I wouldn’t necessarily re-order, but all in all happy. The space itself never would’ve guessed how much I would appreciate it. What they were able to do with the space makes it a very interesting experience, different than most other restaurants that you’ll go to. Pretty solid option for a date night. Would consider going again.
Love the vibe and environment of this establishment. They don't have a cocktail list but do have a full bar. We took our server's advice on the soup of the day, and I also got wings and a roast beef sandwich. Food came out quickly and was very good. All the staff we interacted with was very nice and helpful.
Great Buffalo wings and outstanding service. We ordered them medium and they were just the right amount of spice for us. Hot would've been too much, while mild would've been to bland. Loved the architecture of the old building, in particular some of the woodwork on the door frames. A must if you are in Buffalo and looking for amazing wings!
Good French onion soup and classic wings. Service could be improved but maybe that was just our person. Cool atmosphere in the bar area with the trophy mounts.
Omg their food is AMAZING!!!! 1st time trying this place... the wings are so good!!! The French onion soup is to die for! (dive bar/restaurant setting) I also had a tuna melt on wheat that was excellent! My server was Jeremy he was attentive but maybe bothered or sad (be happy; you are alive!!!) The coffee was not great neither were the soft drinks (you can tell they come from the gun) and no free refills but I'm still sold on the food!!!! A+++ to the CHEFS!!!! Go BILLS!!!
