The meat and fish are exceptional.The worker this past Sat.made the whole shopping experience miserable though.He made a comment his baby was as smart as his dog now.We were really in shock.He treated us like we were a burden selecting our meats.Will go to another location next time.
Prices are a little high but the food is always excellent quality. I've gone to Federal for over 40 years.
Love it there! You can get dinner ready to pop in the oven and all of your deli meat and future dinner meat all at once! Plus a decent selection of local foods and desserts! And the staff is very friendly!

My go to for ribs, steak, chicken, pork, appetizers. Incredible pastries and cake. Very clean. Pandemic social distancing in force. Outstanding customer service. Good parking. On Delaware Ave near Elmlawn Cemetery. Definitely top tier for of your meat needs and sweet tooth. To say the least!
They deserve a 6 Star Rating. Superior to Wegmans and Tops in quality, variety and most importantly customer service. Wegmans has a faux-meat dept. anyway; just a crew of people dressed up like butchers pushing around meat carts. And Tops, seriously does anyone even shop there? The Federal Meats staff are friendly, engaging and knowledgeable on every aspect of meat; everything from shelf life to cooking temps. The entire ethos of the store seems to center around a rarified, exceedingly fleeting concept called customer service. They will even carry an elderly persons order to their car. I can think of only one other business in WNY that understands the importance of customer service and that's Valu, and they've been around as long as Federal.
