Tried to order out, they failed to include all parts of my order (#169 of today's date). I had walked there, walked all the way back to watch some teenagers play on their phones while no one helped me behind the counter. When I asked for help they told me "they're off the clock" and continued smelling a piece of cardboard and giggling with one another. What was the point in putting an order in ahead of time if I was only going to have to double the amount of time walking back and forth? I guess that's on me for trusting that everything I order would be included..?Eventually, I was given the missing part of the order with the classic eye roll that I was being "inconvenient" to them. I tried calling the manager, Mary Grant on the phone afterward. She was rude and sarcastic and spoke down to me. She repeatedly told me "we just got off of a rush, okay?" and "I will talk to the person and reprimand them" -- Who are you supposed to talk to? Yourself, Mary? The girls "off the clock" said that you were the one manning --or should I say not manning-- the cash register. My objective for calling was to hold whomever was supposed to be covering the register accountable. All I needed was for someone to say "wow that doesn't sound like how we want to represent ourselves at all, I'm so sorry you were treated that way, must have been extremely frustrating. Come in another time when I'm working to ensure better treatment" etc. with some kindness and compassion, something along those lines. Instead I was fed excuse after excuse and told "I know that doesn't excuse our behavior, I'm just trying to explain what happened." Wow. Not impressed at all.If this is truly a family owned business that takes pride in their work. I know they will read this. By all means, roll back the tape, I had enough time to wave at the camera whilst I was waiting for someone to assist me (around 4:45pm).I do plan to call in tomorrow as I was conveniently told that the manager was out of town and sarcastically told to have a beautiful day by Mary.Do not recommend, will not be returning.
Nice spot! I was given a gift card as a gift and stopped in for lunch. Tried out one of their cold subs, the beef taco, and the fish taco. Unfortunately they were out of cheese steak subs, but the Italian Assorted was on par with a good deli. The tacos were good, the fish taco was light and fresh. The prices were higher than expected as they had 1 $ on google but my girlfriend spent about $22 on 3 beef tacos, fries, and a fountain drink. Overall a good experience!
First off this is not a reflection of the staff. Harley W took our order from the drive thru & they were great! It’s just the food was not great & this is my second time giving them a chance & left being disappointed. I got a chicken burrito on a 10’ tortilla but instead it was tiny & not flavorful. I also did order a side of waffle fries and that was tasty! Overall, I honestly would not recommend :( one star for the customer service & another for the waffle fries!
Best thing about this place was the parking lot - Elmwood Ave was packed with slow traffic and crowds of walking people so it was great to find a place to park. Stopped for dinner on the spur of the moment. Long line and slow service. Diana who took our order was less than helpful and unfriendly. Bathrooms were locked. Waited a lengthy period of time to get our order which did not include the extra sour cream we ordered and forget about trying to get someone's attention to get it. Burritos were tiny - more like a rolled taco size - this was NOT 10" as claimed on menu board and receipt. Nacho cheese sauce has pretty bad flavor. Chimichangas were okay especially since I'm not aware of them being offered at any other fast food place... but I think those other local fast foods places that offer Mexican are much better and less expensive. Bottled pop tasted odd. Tables were all dirty. We didn't have subs but I wouldn't return to try them considering this experience. Hoping those are better or I'm not sure how this place has survived for so long.
They raise the prices on everything and cut back on the stuff orders turkey subs. Half the meat on it and order waffle fries. Half the size now . Cost me a lot $ not going back
I thought I was in a depression. Soon a I walked in there faces like I hate this job. No welcomes. Nothing .The girl looked exhausted. Yawning . And the sub she made had to be from an old order. How do u ask for extra mayo. Extra Jim's sauce. And I get it cold. Cold meat. Un melted cheese?? Then ohhh boy the face he made when he had to brake a 100.00This was the 2nd time here. 2nd bad service and food. Why didn't I go to main st location. There the best of them all. They do what u ask. Boom
Sometimes the food is great, sometimes the food is disgusting. It's such a hit or miss
Worst service and food I’ve had in a long time. I ordered a veggie burrito. The menu clearly stated it came with onions peppers and mushrooms. I got a tortilla with raw onion and a slice of cheese. The workers blew me off. I didn’t eat it, instead i watched my friends eat…
The owner blocks his parking lot during the bidwell market a neighborhood icon. He's obsessed with keeping people out of his lot even when he is closed. Not supporting the neighborhood that supports him. Although he is successful he not even a little grateful.Constantly making sure no one parks in his lot.The food is all out of a can served by poorly paid young people.I have lived in this neighborhood for thirty years and am tired of his miserable existence.Stay away!!..........not only a dishonest reply, he continues to block his driveway through the snowy winter as we all struggle with parking..Please recognize him for what he represents. The neighborhood does not support his selfish way.Again...I've owned my house in this neighborhood for now 31 years & you can just tell from his macho demeanor his truth. With his truck & big manly snowplow
I’ve been here twice. First time was good. Sub-par good but good. This second time, it will still sub-par but the tacos were put together horribly and cheery on top of the cake it gave me food poisoning for the first time in my life! Amazing! It has given someone else I know food poisoning as well. Not worth potentially throwing up ur guts for just-okay-at-best food. Workers are very friendly though!
