Dine in - amazing. Take out - never again. Great food, wonderful service, but call early to get reservations. They are popular and fill up fast. Not optimal for large groups as the room they have is typically booked well in advance and they won't push tables together in the main dining areas. Take was disappointing simply because the inexplicably decided not to label any of the food.
I have eaten at Chefs many many times. This was my first time ordering take out. The food was delicious as always. But as for the takeout experience, I ordered by phone and it was ready pretty quickly. I showed up and went to the cashier who took my name and went in back to get it. I checked out and took it home. Everything was well packed and took my 40 minute ride home well. Once home I opened everything up to serve my family and it was excellent! Obviously it wasn't the same experience you get dining in which is always awesome but as for the food making it home and still tasting great, takeout is a viable option!
The pasta was wonderful and large plates. We had to take some home. The place is not intimate, rather large space.
I ordered the spaghetti parm with sausage. It is absolutely covered with cheese and more cheese melted in the noodles. The amount of cheese combined with the sauce creates its own flavor, combining the grease from the mozzarella and the red sauce.It was absolutely delicious. Also, the bread they bring complimentary is very fluffy on the inside with a nice exterior edge crunch. Overall, food was exactly what I hoped for and expected based on hype.
Be sure to make reservations! It's always a delicious meal at Chefs. The spaghetti parm is always a favorite of mine.....the Chicken Franchise is also outstanding! The dessert menu has wonderful mix of delicious treats to choose from. I definitely recommend Chefs, it's a staple here in Buffalo!
A great Italian restaurant been going there since I've been a child, can't seem to order anything else but the spaghetti Parm, absolutely amazing, forget about the calories and enjoy it!.. and the fresh bread you get is baked in house and a part of the reason why I go there!
My experience here was great as usual. Place is always busy. The host and servers are super friendly as they run around taking care of everyone. They always start you off with fresh homemade bread and a wonderful seasoned oil to dip it into. I got my usual Chicken Parm. It comes with a plate of spaghetti. I highly recommend that you have the spaghetti parmed as well.
If you want good Italian food for affordable prices in Buffalo.... Chef's is THE spot. Went here with my family yesterday. It was amazing! Everyone is always so nice and welcoming too!
Amazing Italian food! I can see why everyone rates it so highly their food was so good. I especially loved their sauce. It also has gluten free pasta and bread which was a great option to have.
