This place puts Deep South and it’s predecessor to shame! They serve the 3rd best Negroni in the city, but the best tacos by far. I even tried the cauliflower pepper taco and it was much better than I expected. The usual beef and pork versions don’t disappoint and the shrimp taco is something I’ll be dreaming about for weeks. The atmosphere is very welcoming and the staff seemed to be enjoying their work day. Enjoy!
Amazing venue and even better food! Pastor tacos as good or better than in Mexico City. They have the trompo so you know it’s legit. Also, I love their respect for beans and tortillas. Look no further and come by.
Breakfast Burritos should not be dry. Their burrito DID NOT disappoint! Ingredient ratios, flavors and execution was perfect. The house made bloody Mary mix was on point as well.
It's always wonderful and I'm never disappointed!!!! I was worried since they moved they'd lose their charm. Nope! They actually improved. Churros are THE best thing. Worth a trip just to get them.
What a great brunch spot! Bartender is extremely knowledgeable and even more important- FRIENDLY! You’re made to feel like you belong there, and the food is delicious! The vibe was great with music and conversation! Pro tip: try the sotol, very smooth ?
Food was great, had the chips and salsa app, and taco trio for an entree. Cant beat the location. Only hangup was the noise in the place. Couldnt hear the person across from me at a table in the center. I get it, its a busy atmosphere. Not sure id return for a dinner though, unless i sat at the bar away from the center of the room.
I can not emphasis enough how deliciously amazing their churros were! I’ve been to Spain and had churros, these are better. Hands down the best churros I’ve ever had. Their cocktails were equally amazing. This poblano infused bourbon martini was divine. Exceptional service from the bartender as well. Wonderful experience.
I never leave reviews but have to for Casa Azul. This fish was the best thing I’ve ever eaten in my life. Service was great. Amazing way to start a weekend visiting Buffalo.
Food and drinks were absolutely amazing. Salsa was three different variations all with their own special twist. Chips were warm and homemade! Trio of tacos I had 2 fish and 1 shrimp taco. Tacos had small corn shells with fried shrimp and fish respectively. A good amount for the size of the shell with pickled onions and seasonings on top like cilantro. The tacos are great for a quick bite to eat after work paired with one of their delicious margaritas. I had the vanilla pear marg which was outstanding. Will be back to try other food options again.
ok so maybe covid, difficulties with staff, who knows,,,but the mole verde for take out was cold and gross,,two forkfulls and into the garbage,. the guacamole and chips were ok,,pricey,, and the brussel sprout dish, also cold was bland.... was surprised to see the people in kitchen maskless gloveless and careless,,but that could change,, but cold food that is difficult to re heat due to container and sauce caked on was too challenging. expensive with a limited menu, i suppose the bar is the key to success for them ... this is really not a place for satisfying a mexican food hunger.... tiny tacos and a green mole that is revolting? thanks but no thanks,.,.,.,
