There was a line so my husband and I sat at the counter. We also let the hostess know we were sitting there instead of waiting. We were sitting there for well over 15 minutes. Not one person acknowledged us with even as much as a “hello” or “we will be right with you”. We completely understand it was busier, as it was Father’s Day and we also are very patient and understanding with staffing issues everywhere right now. However a greeting and a menu would have been nice. They even gave both parties on either side of us coffee refills while still ignoring us. While sitting there , we also saw a server open an omelette with her bare fingers to “make sure it had cheese” before taking order to the customer. I’m sorry. That is absolutely unacceptable!!!!!!! We got up and left and will NEVER go back
Food was good. People were extremely friendly. Portions were nice. Only four stars cause as they got busier service suffered. Slightly understaffed. Our waitress did a great job tho. Not her fault she had so many tables to look after.
My family and I've been going to Athens for over 10 years and we've always had a good experience. Unfortunately today my daughter and I went out for breakfast we got there around 9:30 in the morning hardly anybody was there it took forever to get waited on and we were basically ignored throughout the whole breakfast. We were asked one time if we wanted to refill on the coffee and I had eggshells in my eggs along with the home fries being hard and not cooked all the way through. When I finally had the opportunity to mention this to the waitress she looked at me very puzzled and said I'll mention this to the cook maybe the grill needs to be cleaned off and walked away. We waited over 25 minutes to get our bill, were asked one time if we wanted to refill for a coffee nobody came to ask about the breakfast. When I finally had an opportunity to bring it to the attention of the waitress, her face became a little annoyed and she did say sorry and walked away. The food and the general experience was subpar. Unfortunately we will not be going back there.

Great service. The food was tasty. Large portions. I ordered the meatloaf dinner. Came with meatloaf (very good, moist, 3 large slices), a choice of potatoe (I chose mashed), a vegetable, and a choice of soup or salad (my choice, chili). Dinner came with a grilled roll as well. My guest ordered the Goulash (huge bowl!) Included soup or salad with roll. Both of us were very pleased. We have both been here many times, but never together. We both agreed that we have never been disappointed during our visits. So I thought they were long over due for one of my posted reviews. I would recommend coming here at any time of the day as I have enjoyed many meals at various times of the day. The staff here are very kind and attenative. The establishment is very clean. A lot of Great Greek restaurants in Western NY. And this one ranks with the ones on top. They offer a large menu selection. Sorry I can't give any info on the desserts they offer as I'm not much of a dessert guy. But judging on everything else I have ordered in the past and have thoroughly enjoyed. I would be very surprised if they actually were a dissapointment. Please if anyone has had their desserts please leave a comment or review. As I know for some of you, dessert makes it or breaks for a meal out. Enjoy!
Service was excellent and except for getting vegetable instead of soup! Our food came out super fast considering I have a big family so it's always a large group, we usually do take out here however our dine in experience was excellent and we will definitely visit again!
I had the fish. It was terrible. They need to clean the deep fryer and change ( not "renew" ) the oil. The potato salad and the macaroni salad was horrible too. The coffee was burned. $20
I when there about a month ago. Had a seafood plate, it was tasty until I found plastic in my coleslaw. Told the waitress, she replies that she knew what happened. Ask to speak to the manager was told she was busy. I told the waitress that I would wait. Manager came over to my table and told me that the waitress had told her what happen. She ask me if I wanted another slaw, I told her no. In the meantime the waitresses were huddled in a circle near the cash register lo

I don't know what's going on with this place but the food isn't what it used to be ..I order a sausage country skillet and got God knows what ..not what I ordered ..there's no sausage ..no cheese ..just very unsatisfied latelyEDIT: ..called the restaurant with my complaint ..got refunded through GrubHub and reordered the same dish ..made correctly this time ..nicely done thank you ..and ..yuuuum..!!!!!
