Japanese Sushi Bar Ramen

The ramen was good, nothing crazy though. The karagge was tasty. However, the tuna tartare is one of the grossest things I’ve ever eaten. It tasted rancid and was literally served on something that appeared to be a ritz cracker. Really disgusting flavor, definitely do not order that. However, if you’re just coming for ramen, I think this is a pretty solid spot.

My favorite thing about the place is their long bar and open kitchen interior. You can tell they pay attention to detail at Za-Ya. Its a perfect place to grab a bite alone. Karage chicken is a must and salmon tartare was bomb. Would be cool if they were open later than 9pm on Fridays and Saturdays.

Absolutely delicious ramen! The best I’ve had in NYC, really good vegetarian options too. We ordered the mushroom small plate, miso ramen, and gyukotsu.

I wanted to try this on a friend's recommendation... Plan was to pick it up, taste it and then leave. However, the tofu in the Mayu ramen convinced me that I should enjoy this completely at the place. Great texture and good pairing with the broth (vegan btw!) that I don't expect from ramen that doesn't have meat. Really good!

Perfect neighborhood ramen spot. Great vibes, lovely and attentive staff., with the chef/owner preparing your noodles most nights. The spicy gyukotsu miso is one of the best bowls I’ve ever slurped. Haven’t tried delivery, but I’m sure it’s great. This is a place that deserves your business and is reliably excellent.

Absolutely love this spot—my ultimate comfort food. Favorites are the kumpira, karaage (best I have ever had), and the gyukotsu miso. The ramen broth is super rich and complex, unlike any other I’ve tried. 10/10!

This place is phenomenal! I got the gyukotsu ramen and it was DELICIOUS - the broth was rich and aromatic (indicative of how great the beef broth was made), but not too rich that I would get sick of drinking too much of it (I drank all of it actually). The saltiness was perfect, as I find typical ramen shops to be more on the salty side. This was also the first time I had beef broth based ramen and I loved it. They give two generous thiccc slices of tender meat that has a good balance of lean and fatty parts cooked to perfection. Also try the chicken karaage and shishito peppers - they were delicious as well!To top it off, the service was amazing, the people there are so nice and warm. This was totally worth the trek from Manhattan!

Wow, great ramen. We were totally blown away to find such a great ramen shop in Brooklyn. The broth was rich, flavorful and absolutely delicious. The service was great not overbearing. We’ll definitely be back.

Probably one of the best ramens I’ve had in NYC! Great atmosphere and decor too, very peaceful.

Some of the best ramen I have had in a long time. Would definitely recommend it. Also love that they have plant-based options! I’ll be back soon.
