Been going to this place for years, as prices have been slowly creeping up ingredients in their rice balls have been disappearing. Imagine grabbing a Spam Rice Ball, in their pictures it has a bunch of chopped up Spam with sauce. In reality its a thin cut sad looking piece of meat. Same goes with their other rice balls. What I saw in this place when this first opened has long been gone, it may be Brooklyn's only spot for rice balls but its not a place worth visiting anymore. Shrimp Tempura was okay though.Last Visit: Ordered 2x Japanese, 2 Spicy Crawfish, 1 Spam, 1 Shrimp Tempura
I like their drinks and rice balls. My favorite is the yaya shrimp tempura onigiri. The store also sells cute accessories plus Japanese snacks and drinks. Service could be a little faster.
There are plenty of flavors to choose from here! I love the fact that they have three vegan “meat” options which were delicious. I would def stick to the small size and the large one just has more rice and not enough filling. Otherwise, the service is great and the onigiris are a good way to have something light on the go. The drinks are great as well. I love their names for the drinks (makes it easier to remember) - the Boyfriend is delicious!
Cute little store, i got the passion fruit bubble tea, it was delicious, and i got several of their rice balls. I wish they added mayo into them, but they're still good without, will come back again.
Ordered a Brown sugar milk tea boba , Thai milk boba tea and fried lobster rice ball and it was so amazing that we keep talking about going back and getting more lol! The teas were great and super flavorful i would love to make mine a more tea flavor next time but it was perfect how it was to be honest ! (This is the first place that offers a brown sugar without having to add boba )Can’t wait to go back and try more of their delicious food ! ?
Onigiri made to order with fresh ingredients. Good bubble tea. Fast service. Be careful entering and exiting store -- it is a trip hazard.
Nice people. Tasty tea. Reasonable prices. If you order food, it is fast. If you order milk tea it is very slow. So make sure you order ahead or give yourself enough time.
Always an everlasting experience at Yaya Tea. From the spam Onigiri to the delicious Durian Fruit milk tea. A super selection of delicious drinks and finger foods to even entrees. BIG recommendation from me if you're in the area or out of town.
Good place but price getting expensive
