If you aren’t staying to party all night, don’t bother! But MOST importantly- Staff is incredibly rude and unprofessional! They behave as if being helpful to a guest is a chore. They spend more time chatting with each other and on their cell phones ignoring guests than checking in. Messages left at the front desk are not relayed to the guests. There are too many other hotels in this area to put up with poor customer service!
The Wythe is an amazing boutique hotel in a fantastic location. The service was wonderful and our room was very spacious with an amazing view of Manhattan. The restaurant was terrific too. We will definitely stay here again when we come back to Williamsburg.
Loved our room and the fantastic view across the river of Manhattan. The staff was always attentive and friendly. The doormen/woman were so welcoming ever time you came back or left. Only downsides: our water pressure would drop to a trickle 3-4 times during a shower and the restaurant below us and rooms around were very loud at times. Also, the window shades let a sliver of light in right onto the pillows.
We had our wedding and rehearsal dinner at the Wythe. Both events were beautiful. The venue itself is amazing. We were looking for something that felt elegant but still felt like Brooklyn. Wythe was perfect for that. The location was perfect for all of our guests. Wythe went above and beyond to help plan and coordinate our event. We had all the food made by the Wythe Hotel kitchen and it was excellent. Down to the smallest detail.
The basic standard for a hotel is a clean room. The Wythe accomplished that and little else. After contacting the hotel about parking, they recommended nearby places to park and said there was an area next to the hotel to temporarily park to unload. We arrived to find that area did not exist. Not a great start. The front desk staff person at check in rolled her eyes when it was my turn to check in. She did not explain anything about the hotel aside from wifi, unlike the other person at the desk who explained the two restaurants. We got to the room to find the room was incredibly small, which was not surprising, but there was nowhere to put our suitcase or really any counter or storage space at all. The only area that could have been used was the mini bar.One of the worst parts of the room was the almost complete lack of lighting. What little lighting the room had was inadequate, especially for make-up or even just reading.Additionally, the sound insulation between rooms is awful. Don't stay here on a weekend if you stay on a lower floor, as the noise from the event space permeates up at least to the 3rd floor. It's also incredibly noisy any time someone opens the curtain in the room. You can generally hear into adjacent rooms as well.Lastly, the towels we were given had holes in them and required to calls to the front desk to get replaced. The shower also does not maintain a constant pressure or temperature.Overall this one among the worst hotel experiences I've had, far from the "4-star" experience advertised. Other guests of the event I attended stayed at the William Vale and spoke very highly of it. The desk was not concerned how my experience was at check out, I don't see why they would be concerned about yours either.
Did not have a room but we had the top floor rinse it out and they Supply the bar staff and servers. This is one of those places that I want you to believe they are very swanky but it is only by appearance, the bar staff and servers actually more jeans and head there button down shirts with the shirt tail out or partially out. I had dietary restrictions and I was hoping to get the same thing as the children got in the party and they told me no and would not even ask to see if what they gave the kids was available. The skyline from the top floor is outstanding and that would be the only reason I would even think about this hotel but I would never think of this hotels to stay at, I would think that it is about as overpriced as it could possibly be. Fake fancy is not something that I appreciate. Two and a half Stars would be more accurate only because the view was outstanding but if everything else I remember about this hotel is below average, that should tell you everything.
Terrible experience : room supposed to be with view is with a big graffiti wall hiding. When we asked to change room, we got offered a room without air conditioning. No breakfast available on Sunday because was closed for private party.Very loud disco music until midnight, impossible to sleep.Well, this is not an hotel, this is a party place. Run away unless you want to party 24h.
My son and daughter in law had their wedding at the hotel. I stayed at the hotel for one night. The hotel is incredible. All the staff are great. Special shout outs to the “ Real Bklyn “ guys at the front door and the bar tender. I grew up in Bklyn. I don’t know the women name that ran the wedding but she made the wedding so enjoyable The rooms are very nice with the old brick etc still exposed in the rooms. One of the hotels managers is Lola. She is so friendly and made the day after our wedding another great day. Visit the restaurant on the 6th floor. The views of Manhattan are incredible during the day and evenings. I hope to visit the hotel again p

We love the Wythe Hotel, it is modern and hip. We have been staying there for years because it is directly across from the Brooklyn Bowl and we love their concerts. It has a new owner who has enlarged the 6th floor bar and deck. ( best view in NYC) but alas, the bar it is so loud you can’t have a conversation until it quiets down around midnight. And the prices have gone up, but I guess that is everywhere. Also, the 6th floor bar has no food for a GF/DF patron.
