5 on 5 place.My friend recommended to go to westlight.We reserved the table in advance since its very hard to get the reservations here.Best part is, its located on the other side of the river ( in williamsburg), so the views of nyc skyline are crazy.Two floors ( one has a rooftop and other has a turf plus seating)Definitely one of a kind rooftops i have ever seen.A couple of bonus points:Very spacious,Huge cocktail menu,Sweeping views,Amazing location.Downside:Slow service,Okayish food .My fav drink was : the four winds.Its a must try rooftop.
NYC rooftop views - check! Breathtaking scenery at @westlightnyc with some new friends. Felt super blessed! My lavender cocktail was so good I was actually surprised because I don’t really like alcohol actually. The whole experience was really great and the waitress was very nice and patient with us. Had such a great time watching the sunset and enjoying the nighttime view of Manhattan after dark. Would totally come back and try some of their entrees as well! Definitely worth a visit!
Was a recommended spot from some of my friends when visiting Brooklyn. Came to the place after supper for drinks and was overall satisfied with my experience. The service was good and pricing a was a fair. Best part of the experience was the view though, would recommend bringing a coat if you plan on going at night, as it does get pretty windy up there. And also book ahead as they won’t let you go up unless you have a reservation.
This is surely one of the best views of Manhattan from Brooklyn - absolutely stunning. However, it is frightfully expensive for drinks (in addition to the absurd 18-22% that the US think is reasonable for tips) and the security/reception staff downstairs are utterly rude. We had a burger each and fries between us as well as a mediocre bottle of wine (which would cost around $10 in a supermarket). The total bill including tip was $169.04 which I just think is really bad value for money. The overall experience was okay and the views really made the evening, but my advice would be: pop there for sunset, grab a beer and then leave - much nicer places around Brooklyn to dine/spend your time.
Visited at 4 pm. Wait staff was amazing! Food was great! Drinks were great!The view was amazing!We sat facing the water and it was so relaxing!Music was mixed and still a great vibe!Out first time here but we will definitely return!

Amazing views, but left to wait 20minutes for booked table as ‘running late’. Enjoyable until noisy kids allowed on terrace after 10pm at night (advertised as over 21 after 6pm). Asked to re-locate but staff not very accommodating. Real shame as amazing view.
I’d heard great things about Westlight and was so excited to have it booked as part of our trip to NY. I booked a table for 3 back on May 1st so that I knew we could have a table. A couple of hours before we were due to go. I received an email saying that it was cancelled with no explanation why. I tried to call but couldn’t get through so messaged on Instagram but didn’t hear anything. Very disappointed. Why have a booking system in place if they’re cancelled at the last minute?!
Great cocktails, amazing location and views back across to Manhattan, good service too. Would highly recommend this place. Make sure you pre book well in advance as very popular.
The view: amazing, the food: delicious and the staff was great. We really enjoyed our time at the Westlight. Only thing to consider, make a reservation 'cause you only get 90 mins there. If you're a walk in you get an hour.
