I have purchased white fish with no tag on it; they told me it was cod. The fish tasted and smelled disgusting.
Probably the only spot to find real Caspian black caviar. Very tasty and high quality. I was surprised to find authentic place for caviar. Highly recommend this store for Caspian caviar if you up to.
I would put 1 star ⭐️ but I did 2 just for a big choice of seafood. I came there exactly for red Alaskan caviar. I know exactly how it’s supposed to taste and look. I asked woman if she can give me real Alaskan caviar and she said yes. She took it somewhere from the box I didn’t see and it wasn’t the right one. Lady wasn’t really nice so I didn’t want to argue. I came home and tried it, taste was horrible for that what I was expecting. Size of caviar was wrong, super small. It wasn’t really what I asked for. Disappointed
I really enjoy buying the caviar at this place since it’s also not far from where I live, but every time I’ve been there, the women at the cash register are ignorant, have a major attitude and asking them a question about the expiration date of a product seems like a chore to them.Unprofessional.Makes me want to not come again to this store. Such a pity.Gave two stars only because the products are great so far. Other than that I would’ve left 1.

I would not recommend this place, they are extremely rude and dismissive. I came in to buy some Eastern European Black Caviar Servuga or Osetra, and Domestic red/orange. I asked the lady behind the counter what's her freshest black caviar they have? I also mentioned to her that last time I purchased from them Osetra black caviar, the product became bitter within 12 hours (big nono). When I told her about it, it was more like constructive criticism I did not want to argue or ask for credit/refund as a retail business owner I understand things happen. But, the responce I received for them was absolutely dispicable, she goes on to ask if my refrigerator is working? This store is an predominantly ex Soviet/Russian republic survivor neighborhood, and unfortunately have that typical soviet block mentally, abuse others and get rewarded for it. Not me good luck!!

I have been a customer of Tsar Caviar for 4 years, and I absolutely love their produce! Always fresh seafood, great tasting caviar, and even salo! I live in Maine and always make sure I stop by Tsar Caviar on the way to visit my daughter in New Jersey. If I am not able to come to the store, they have a delivery option. The staff is always very pleasant and professions, and the prices are great!
