I've only had the doubles and chicken patty. Best doubles over here so far. Everyone else's has become bland but theirs have flavor. Now that I know they cook with flavor I can't wait to try the rest of the menu. The kurma was hard to eat though, I usually like a crunch but this was like eating rocks
Delicious. I owe the really nice guy at the counter for the experience. He could tell this food was new to me. He looked out for me, advising me about the sizes and spices and stuff, and what he liked that I might like, without being condescending. I felt like he cared about me having a good first experience with this food.
I would honestly give 5 star if they accepted card payments. The food is the best you can get in Brooklyn and the currants roll the best in NY.
Best place to get Trinidad goodies... currants and coconut rolls are to died for . The fried wonton are so good .. I live in Maryland and I drive up to New York at least twice a year just to come here.
It's a restaurant and bakery in one. They sell different roti,dinners and a variety of breads. Most of the time there is a long line outside and they take Cash Only.
Can't beat the taste and variety of Trinidad dishes at this place. Only place I buy Trinidad Chinese style food among other things. It's the best in Brooklyn for Trinidad style food and bakery items...a must have.
Always great food. The pastries were fresh as usual. I stopped by to grab food for the Chinese New Year.A few things I noticed, floors are clearly marked for social distancing however no one seems to notice it, there were over 12 people in the small space. I understand it's cold however, safety first.The young man at the counter in the evening was very pleasant, the girl not so much.Make sure to double check your order before you leave because mix ups happen.Cash Only as always! Neighborhood staple, even on rainy cold days there is a line! Come prepared and ready to order, if you come on a bad day your indecision will not be rewarded, I learned my lesson the hard way, some staff more patient than others. Doubles and coconut rolls are a must, skip the beef Pattie’s, too much thick crust and kind of burnt
First let me start by saying thank you Ryan. He was so patient with me. I walked in and this was my first time there. I asked what was a “buss up” be explained it to me and also asked do I mind getting my hands dirty. Lol he sold me off just that comment! Love to see when a person is proud of food they are serving, come to find out it’s his dads business. Kudos to the dad. He definitely represented . Food smells delicious and so does the bread.Let’s just say I left with more than 1 bag. Lol see on my next nail appointment.
Most of the time there is always a loooong line but they work fast! I always get doubles, Chicken fry bake, bread pudding and the chicken soup alone is a meal in itself
