Best ice cream in the state of New York, and the best place to bring your kids and/or your dogs for ice cream and donuts. Seriously, they even make the ice cream and donuts right here on location. Get out of town! Take a break from your hike through the city in the shade right outside or chill out inside. They have many amazing flavors to choose from, even vegan flavors. No joke, vegan ice cream. Mmmmm
ice cream was just okay, don’t understand why it’s rated so highly tbh. seems to be catered more towards kidsstrawberries and cream: tasted like strawberry ice cream you’d buy in the grocery storeoh captain, my captain: cereal milk ice cream with fruity pebbles which was pretty good but could probably find it elsewhere as well
My friends and I stumbled upon this colorful and fun place while we were in the neighborhood. So glad we decided to stop in and give it a try.The staff was so welcoming and warm when we entered. I decided to try their old fashioned donuts . Had them warmed up. And boy oh boy- I wasn’t ready!! They are amazing!!!Soft and thick and crispy edges all at the same time. The consistency of the donut is more cakey but moist. And my favorite thing about them- they are not very sweet. Just right!I will definitely be returning to try other flavors and other menu items. To top it off the place is color and creative. Great place to take pics and/or just sit to lift your mood.
These guys know how to make an old fashioned cake donut. Go with the plain (and I never say that). It's perfect. And their ice cream is amazing too!
It was my first time visiting. I got a fruity pebbles and white chocolate ice cream and a malted milk chocolate ice cream. Both very good. The manager was friendly also. But after giving me two samples one from "her boss" she said, the young woman that waited on me was snotty about giving me samples, and it made me feel really uncomfortable to the point where I didn't want to order something. But I did because I really wanted ice cream and after I told her I was planning on ordering something she let me try the fruity pebbles one, but was snotty again about asking if I was planning on eating it there. The ice cream made up for it but I left feeling bothered. Like even if her boss didn't know they weren't giving out samples and did anyway like don't tell that to the customer after it's already in motion. It seemed unnecessary and left a bad taste taste in my mouth. Im sad that she was rude because the ice cream is very good and I like supporting local business.
A friend recommended this spot to us and I'm glad we had time to stop by on our latest trip.We tried:- Morning in Paris- Ooyer & Gooeyer- Breakfast with Nonna D. & Poppy- Vanilla New Fashioned Egg CreamI wasn't a huge fan of the Morning In Paris Ice Cream, but I loved the other two flavors. Ooyer & Gooeyer was my favorite.I'd definitely come back here - there were many more flavors I was interested in trying.
From the makers of Ample Hills, Jackie and Brian, this place is an ice cream lovers dream. From the innovative flavors, amazing donuts, milkshakes, floats and ice cream sundaes they have what you need. Service is always amazing and the kid friendly atmosphere is a plus. Always worth your time and money when you stop in at The Social.
Great! The old-fashioned donut tasted so good! Not crazy sweet like they tend to be everywhere else, the taste is more pancaky:) You can get a coffee+donut for 3$! The service was nice. There are bathrooms, lots of space, games, and they are open till 10pm! Amazing!
Came here because I had burned out on Van Leeuwens but still am a slave to sugar cravings. I love their unique flavors and that they make donuts onsite. They have a 70/80s aesthetic with plenty of space for parents to sit and chat while kids come up on their sugar high
From the inventive neighborhood folks who brought you Ample Hills! ❤️
