(Review based on takeout only)I’m not one to exaggerate my food experiences. When I say this was one of the best sandwiches I’ve had in nyc, that is absolutely true. The Emiliana sandwich is what I’ll be sharing with my out of town guests — it’s that good.I’d recommend a 3/4 sandwich. The full isn’t really 2x bigger than the 1/2.
This place was solid. I had the Cuban and I went with my girlfriend who had the fig sandwich. A bit pricy in my humble opinion — 3 dollars for a can of la croix if you know what I mean—but otherwise pretty good. I’d potentially go back but there are other places I’d go first.
I used to order at least once a week but they removed the only sandwich and wrap I ordered. The *Caracas Choripan and The Boston club wrap.
I had a Emiliana sandwich , the sandwich was great but overpriced , 6” sandwich and a bottle water 20$ before tax and service fee , that’s way to much , I had to go out eat again because the sandwich was small and I was still hungry
I’ve ordered from here a few times and it’s always great. The Mexican is absolutely delicious. Only issue is that delivery takes F O R E V E R. I live on N4th and delivery consistently takes 50-75 minutes or longer.
Ordered from here 2-yrs ago and the sandwich along with the "Side" of potato salad was the saddest thing ive ever ordered and seen...the potato salad was Soooo small i couldn't believe they served me that 1 scoop salad in a ketchup mini cup (LITERALLY A 1 SPOON SAMPLE) and the sandwich was dissapointing and dry as i ordered a Ruben sandwich and the WHOLE meal was a sad story...my 1st was my last with this place they're sandwiches aint all that and i dont see what the hype is all about...AND I EAT OUT ALOT AND POST MANY PLACES YET "THE SANDWICH SHOP" MADE MY "NOT GETTING MY MONEY" LIST...WISH I WAS IMPRESSED! ?
This is a neighborhood staple in Brooklyn. Hole in the wall vibes with incredible quality and breadth of selection. Each sandwich takes you on a journey to faraway lands from the salsa-infused vibes of the Cubano to the soft-rolling Italian hills called to mind by the Emiliana. The Sandwich Shop is no mere bodega but rather an experience that whisks one away to simpler times.
I’ve gotten a few different sandwiches here and every single one was amazing. Not only that, but sandwiches I reordered on different days always had the same great taste as the one before, consistently amazing and consistency is key. If I could give a 6th star I would
This place is OVERPRICED, even for the area! La Reina, which is pulled chicken, some mayo, and a few slices of avocado on a baguette is $17 after taxes, for a 6" sandwich. Not even any cracked black pepper on it. Literally 4 ingredients.... The El Cubano, on the other hand, is priced well, but literally everything else is crazy expensive, and underwhelming at best.
Part of my weekly routine, big fan of the Cubano. Warm, tasty and consistently made.
