Always crowded and for good reason! A great selection of draft beers and awesome comfort food ordered at the counter! A great and dependable spot for the neighborhood.
Incredibly kind and accommodating staff, great food that was clearly cooked to-order, and reasonable prices! If you're nearby, it's a worthy lunch spot.
LacklustreLoud AF (some good music, but some not so much). Portions of food just ok, which made it feel a bit overpriced, especially since food wasn’t great. I had the veggie stew, and it was kind of like the kitchen staff legit forgot to add seasoning. Beer was pretty good, not great. I had the Maine lunch IPA. Weird house rules - go up and order your food from one window to kitchen and drinks from bar (so you pay separately ?) and the service was slow so my stew wasn’t hot. 15 % tip even seemed generous. FWIW, I’m not really one to post critical reviews, but in a city with so many awesome eating and drinking spots, I’d give this a miss.
It's tough to decide what beer to get since they have an amazing selection that is constantly changing. They have the cleanest taps around. The food is top notch. I found their wings better that Pok-Pok and the Catfish (had it as a sandwich) is amazing. Great place to drink and eat as a group. Alway get the cheese curds... Always.
Thieves work here. Last one to leave and forgot my bag. Called in the morning and went to pick it up.. value items were missing! Tried talking to a manager. The girl I spoke with said "nobody here stole it". How do you know? She didn't follow up or ask any questions! Dishonest business loses business. Will never recommend this place because of this terrible experience!
I recently moved into the neighborhood and just discovered this spot, and I'm glad that I did. They've got a great beer selection, the food is excellent, and the service is very friendly. Highly reccomended!
This place is a huge let down. I was really looking forward to this place and the reviews were awesome so I expected a great experience—what I got was far from great. Maybe I made a mistake by going on Saturday night during the snowstorm but the service was absolutely horrible. It seemed like everyone was getting their food and drinks but us. The service wasn’t just slow—what really irked me is that the staff was very rude and careless. My friend and I felt very out of place there. It’s not a very welcoming environment. Our food took 45 minutes to get and all we ordered were appetizers - wings and Brussel sprouts should never take that long. When we received our food it was ice cold. The brussel sprouts were not roasted all the way and were extremely plain and underwhelming.Drink menu is mostly just IPAS and the “quadrinkles” that are mentioned in some older reviews no longer exist so you cannot get a beer flight at this bar despite multiple pages advertising that you can. I usually don’t go out of my way to write a bad review but the treatment I got here was absolutely ridiculous. Double Windsor, do better. Give your staff some lessons on hospitality and how not to be a d*ck.
the Mac and Cheese here is heavenly, bartenders are very welcoming. all the food I had during my visit was awesome, but that Mac... good lord. so good.
Field pea salad is a sleeper hit. Best wings on the block. Friendly staff. Good vibes. TCM on the screens. Amazing beer selection. Solid tunes. Neighborhood staple.
