Listen!!!!!! This is one of the best crab places that I’ve had outside of Maryland, and DMV does crabs! I ordered the crab cake sliders- which were HUGE! The sliders had no filler, soft and cooked to perfection. It was paired with homemade wasabi mayo that was delicious! Please do yourself a favor don’t walk to this place.. RUN!
This is a staple in Brooklyn. Black-owned, clean, friendly, professional, and all-around excellent service. They have the right-sized menu with nuanced variety. The Crabby Shack is one of favorite places in Brooklyn and beyond. Sometimes, I'll just stop by to say hi!
The server was very friendly and the food was hot, fresh and delicious! Well worth the trip from North Carolina. Will definitely recommend to anyone looking for some good seafood!
The food is very expensive and the price is not commensurate with the quality of the product. Their shrimp is unpeeled!! Outrageous!! For the price, other establishments at least peel And devein the shrimp. The portions are small. And while the little bit of food is tasty enough, there is no outstandingly unique or special flavor or preparation to the dishes. Try it for yourself, if you dare to part with your money unreasonably, but I won't be returning.
Came all the way from Trinidad, my cousin Allison and I got the crab and shrimp with corn and potatoes with garlic butter, was very delicious. Whenever I visit again I will definitely be getting some of your delicious food ?
Hard to review food that didn't arrive. I was gifted the signature dinner kit for 4-6 people. The clobster kit is advertised for 4. Two rolls arrived. The kit advertised 1 lb crab legs. They didn't arrive. Two and a half pounds of crab Mac and cheese. Very small tray arrived.I think they packed the wrong order and didn't quality check. No response from the restaurant when trying to rectify. The picture on the left is what arrived. Notice the missing crab legs. The picture on the right is what is advertised.
If you like seafood this is a great go to. Located off the beaten path but very noticeable decor. Heated outdoor seating was great. Crabroll was really tasty but the bun it is served on looked like a hotdog bun. It was not the best presentation for the price. The crab grilled cheese and clam chowder were excellent. The cornbread tasted more like cake than cornbread. It is clear the restaurant is really popular for ordering out because a lot of people were grabbing and going! One let down was the gentleman at the counter seemed pretty disinterested in the CUSTOMER part of customer service. It is was like his cell phone and his hand were locked into each other. Not the greatest first impression.
It is always top notch. I had crabby corn chowder and corn bread. My friend had salad with crab and a tasty dressing. We were so full we didn't get dessert this time. But they have wonderful ones!
I learned about The Crabby Shack on CNBC’s “The Profit” and had to check it out! It was delicious. I had the Crab BLT w/ Avocado with tater tots and a guava/passionfruit margarita. I look forward to going back for the Famous Crab Roll and maybe Honey Butter Cornbread, which server recommended.
This place is black-owned which is great, and my food was decent. I ordered a Clobster roll (½ crab + ½ lobster), tater tots and peach cobbler (not pictured). I've ordered here before and loved the crab rolls with great seafood portions. However, this time the crab portion was too salty for my taste. It seems the lobster was fine, but the crab half was high in sodium. The tots were crispy, but could have done without them. Lastly, the cobbler was sadly a disappointment. I honestly make a better peach dump cake. All in all, I gave them a 4 out 5 towards room for error. Staff were friendly and the outdoor seating area is lovely. Please monitor your salt. Thanks! ?
