On many occasions we got stale bread, not fresh meat, stale cookies. You must check products for freshness since the store tries sell at all cost.
Do not come here hungry. I did and almost fainted from the abundance of food around me. Most of it looked amazing, the ones i tried (Mediterranean salad, salmon steak and some cake not sure what was the name) did not disappoint. Will be back

My mother bought two “fresh” Bronzino fish yesterday to cook at home. They were packaged in plastic. Upon opening the first one we noticed a rancid smell coming from it. The fish was not cleaned out properly and the guts were still inside rotting. The smell was unbearable. The second smelled only a little less. I tried calling the Tashkent supermarket numerous times and couldn’t reach a single person or even leave a message due to the mailbox being full and then dropping my call.Came in to the store today and after explaining the situation I got called a liar by the manager because I didn’t take the fish with a rotting stench into my car and drive it back to the store. I was airing out my kitchen for over two hours.I’ve been buying food here for a few years and will never be returning due to the way they speak to their customers.I hope you all inspect the food you buy here for your safety’s sake.Would give this place no stars if I could.

I don't know if it's halal, but if you want your socks blown off with an assortment of amazing food go here. Is it cheap? Hell no. Is it worth it? Hell yes. First you have to make your reconnaissance before even starting to shop. Then, you are still overwhelmed with all the sights and smells and before you know it, you're buying stuff you never knew you wanted. If you go home unsatisfied, you have no one to blame but yourself.
The potato in the olivia isn’t fully cooked. And I once bought pumpkin mantu it wasn’t fully cooked the dough, pumpkin, onion, and it wasn’t seasoned well. I was so disappointed because I got a lot of food to set the table for a birthday and the guests didn’t finish their mantu because of it. I know the people in the kitchen rush to cook food because you have a lot of customers but please try and taste the food before serving it.
Here you can find a large selection of fresh produce, baked goods, Central Asian food, salads, deli and much, much more! Everything we tasted was fresh and great quality. Look forward to visit again!Review based on visit in August 2021.
Tashkent Supermarket is one of New York's largest Halal supermarkets. Their customer service is fantastic, and their product selection is of exceptional quality. Employees can lack communication, and some personnel are not properly taught, which is most likely due to a lack of management. Overall, their produce area is exceptional; their assortment of fruits and veggies is of the highest quality I've seen, even in the winter and summer months. There is a hot meal buffet section with wonderful ethnic Uzbek and European foods. Although the cashiers can be harsh to customers at times, they operate efficiently and quickly. When I first walk into Tashkent Supermarket and see the queue, I'm overwhelmed, but within 5 minutes, Its my turn to pay. Overall, I would strongly advise my friends and family to shop at Tashkent Supermarket. Customer service would be significantly improved if all staff and management spoke fluent English. Excellent experience; I would gladly return to Tashkent Supermarket.
