Came here for drinks and food. Everything was amazing! Janis, Austin and our waitress provided exceptional customer service. When customer service is exceptional it should be acknowledged. It was my first time but definitely not my last. Thank you for an amazing evening!
Does this burrito look worth $14 to you? It's tiny and 80% just tortilla. I've been a loyal customer but this is just unacceptable.
Good food. Low key place.
No frills Mexican, tasty but really it’s fast food. Service was great. Prob wouldn’t go again but it was an experience
A pretty decent place for Mexican food. The food tasted excellent and the ingredients seemed fresh. The portion sizes were small, which I liked, though the prices were slightly high considering the size.I recommend the mushroom quesadilla and tacos carnitas. Also if the wait staff asks to start you off with chips and guacamole, just be aware that it costs $13, twice as much as the chips and salsa. Don't feel pressured in the moment to say yes. No complaints towards the wait staff, they're just doing their job. Just a full disclosure of my experience. They do give you a very generous amount of guacamole and the chips seemed fresh made so the price is likely warranted if you are interested. The atmosphere is very nice, bright white with a lot of reclaimed vintage pieces and a beautiful ceiling. There are conveniently placed coat hangers at almost every table and a sink to wash your hands with hand painted wall art right above it.The only thing that bothered me was that the cups for the water weren't washed properly, there was still residue from another drink left on my cup so make sure to ask the wait staff for a clean one if you notice this. The green bottles they use for water need a thorough scrubbing inside, but personally I felt safe enough drinking water from it.Aside from the very few complaints, overall it was a great experience, I wouldn't mind bringing more friends here.
Got takeaway here and came back to dine in the next evening. The guacamole was amazing! I also had a veggie burrito and a chicken quesadilla - both were incredible, fresh and fast. The service was also lovely and the decor and atmosphere were nice. The homemade pineapple water was refreshing and not too sweet.
I’ve never been to Tacombi before but I’ve always had it on my list of places to checkout. As per the NYC mandate you must be vaccinated to eat indoor but they offer outdoor seating as well. My friend and I had a margarita to start and guac and chips to start. The chips were well seasoned so I enjoyed it. Don’t ask me about the Guac lol I’m not a fan of avocados.Up next was the Corn Esquites which reminds me of elote! It’s a cup filled with corn, cojita cheese and a spicy Mayo. It’s so good and a must try when visiting this place. I also tired the Carnitas taco which is was flavorful. The meat was well seasoned and juicy.I can’t wait to visit again. The only thing that would make my experience better is if they had more flavors of margs and possibly a happy hour!
Tacombi in Fort Greene offers tasty Mexican food and a fun, lively atmosphere. The food was fresh and flavorful, and was served quickly. I had the guacamole con totopos, a gringa quesadilla, and a carnitas taco. Everything was tasty and with just a hint of spiciness. The guacamole con totopos was large enough to be a meal in itself, with the quesadilla and taco being more normal-sized. Though the food and service was good, it is a bit on the pricey side. Keep an eye on the prices on the ordering pad to avoid sticker shock. Tacombi is definitely worth splurging on, though, every now and then.
My first ever experience at Tacombi was one of the most disappointing experiences in a while. The visuals of Tacombi at every location are inviting, from the font, menu and interior. However, when you get down to it, Tacombi doesn’t really stand out when it comes to food. The food is just above average with the quesadilla being the most unique and the best value. The guacamole is the most expensive thing on the menu, as much as a more dense burrito. As for the service, it was invincible. The staff was no where to be found despite a somewhat warm welcome. The experience was jumbled, disorganized and not what I expected. I appreciated the attempts at giving us complementary food but it was simply too late for us to appreciate it. Please deliver good service and attention right from the beginning, and you will succeed. I had low expectations for Tacombi and I am sad to say they will remain this way.
