I was so excited to try this place for brunch. After looking at their menu, I was planning on ordering their chicken and waffles but we did not end up getting seated. My friend made a reservation about a week in advance for a group of 14 which they confirmed yes. The group dropped down to 9 which was then also reconfirmed. When we showed up, the hostess kept reassuring us we would be seated within 5 minutes (every 10 minutes) — we waited for over 40 minutes before deciding to go elsewhere.Communication and logistics were definitely lacking. They should not have confirmed our reservation if our party size was too large.
No!!!!!! Why are these grits the best I’ve ever had!!! Oh my gosh ! This was a great experience!!! I love us! 100 percent!!! From the warm welcoming greeting to the server taking your order !!! I was very comfortable. These women here are very hospitable!!! The food is great! The ambiance is so Brooklyn!!! Yup I’ll be back!!
Sorry for the three stars.. Almost a decade ago I loved this place. But today I had a different experience. The music was so loud, it was impossible to have a conversation. During brunch not at night. The food was also average, the potatoes were almost black, fried in old oil, yet still mushy. Sucks. Because I still love featherweight in the back...
Service was great. Brunch menu is amazingly good. Definitely need to come try.
Great brunch
5 stars for the shrimp and grits alone! Also, the best eggs I've had so far. At this point, I can only hope that when I go back, it's just as good as the 1st time, which is usually not the case. Only one way to find out!So just to update.I loved the shrimp and grits so much that I visited the next weekend, on a Saturday (the 1st time was a Sunday) and I'm sad to say I was disappointed. I'm not sure if they have different chefs for those days or if the chef doesn't use a consistent recipe when it comes to the shrimp and grits but they were nothing like they were the week prior. I was so sad. I am aware this happens frequently in restaurants but I was desperately hoping to find a restaurant that has something that I love and can count on always being the same everytime I order it. I'm keeping the rating the same because it didn't taste bad, it just wasn't as good as the last time and the service was still pretty good and the dj played a good mix of music but I can't say I'd go back and order the shrimp and grits again. I will try to mimic the initial recipe myself though.
I want to love this place, I swear I do! The food is just ok, nothing spectacular. The drinks are strong, tho, so that makes up for it. I was QUITE put off by the gratuity AND tip requested via the qr code check out. It won't even allow you the option to zero out the tip. They're literally tricking their patrons into tipping twice. Pretty slimy maneuver. Good luck with that. Hmmm, guess that's why the drinks are so strong ??
Good Vibe inside and a great bar, however each time I go to eat their food, I leave a little bit disappointed. Last night I had the steak sandwich with fries. Steak was too large and tough to actually bite through in the sandwhich, and the fries were greasy with no crunch.
The staff were friendly but the food was just bad. Loads of butter on the shrimp as well as the patty on the burger and burger buns. In fact the butter made the buns so fragile that the burger broke into pieces. And its one of the worst burger that I have had, nothing( no sauce , lettuce or vegetables) in between the buns , only burger patties. No fries on the side and too small for a meal, its more like an appetizer size. The shrimps with the garlic sauce was again buttery and they used small shrimps . The taste was just too bland.I saw a lot of people at the bar so I think their bar service is good.As for the food, wouldn’t recommend themIt was just too bad
This place was absolutely amazing. Went with my younger sister and friend for unlimited mimosas and enjoyed this amazing brunch meal as well. Steak was cooked perfectly.! Staff was super friendly as well. The place is also beautiful. Ten outta ten, would def recommend.
